Hi, fellas. Ladies. Say, what does one wear as an overcoat and maintain a spiffy appearance? I, of late, realized I don't have anything for temperatures above 40 degrees that goes with a nice hat. I am thinking long-waisted, but what is there? What is period or, at least, period-looking...
Those are handsome, indeed. It amazes me that they can sell them so inexpensively. Even for myself, this would definitely be a case of cheaper-to-buy-than-make.
Thanks. The sizing/dimensions look dangerously close. She'll have to see them herself, but it won't be until late tonight. It's her second weekend of Swingtime Canteen. If you can sell them today, do so. But we'll get back to you on it if they remain available.
Thanks again.

Hi, JBD,
How about the size on those? I can't believe I am suggesting more shoes for Mrs. C, but she'd probably dig 'em. She has yet to get any vintage in brown.
Thanks.

What else is interesting is encountering an oh so familiar scent on someone else. Not "closely", mind you, just close enough to tell. When I was in college, there was the "bus stop girl". My now wife, then girlfriend, was 2+ hours away, so she was on my mind a lot - missing her, you know...
Nice, PBG. It does look good with that suit.
My Knox 20 has the "funky" bow on the back of the hat. I, too, was not sure about it, but do like it for variety's sake and all its own since it's a bit different.
Isn't photography and lighting peculiar? I'd swear up and down that your hat...
Sergei, thank you. If you will, indeed, be gone, I nonetheless appreciate your sentiments. If you'll be around, though, drop me a line.
I saw the gaslamp district on one of the MTS maps, I think. Sounded intriguing.
I told my wife about the proximity of the vintage stores and her eyes...
Well, we can't stay this trip. Already booked for the conference at the Marriott Marina. But I was thinking maybe go out there for supper one night.
I did look at the menu on their website. About what I would expect, I suppose, cost-wise. Not what I am used to, mind you, just no surprises.
Conference?...What conference? Shucks, I'm ready to book "The Del" right now.
Several things to do shaping up nicely. Thank you all. Any more ideas, please add to the list. I do appreciate it.

I will be accompanying my wife to San Diego on April 20 and will be there for four days. She'll have some conference things to attend, but I'll be wanting for something to do, no doubt, during those times. R & R is good for a while.
Thoughts and tips from anyone, please? We'll be staying...
Thanks very much. Under close scrutiny, the Cav would reveal some minor, minor imperfections. But at a studied glance, even, it looks as good in person as the pictures here. Glad you like it.
Got a couple new hats over the past few days. I think they are just right. The first is the Cavanagh in light tan with dark brown ribbon, and the second a dark brown Knox with "amberish" brown ribbon.
Oh, my goodness, how nice is the felt of the Cavanagh. When I had the Stetson 20...
Wow-wee! You've described that building to me in the past, I know, but that picture really shows it. That is really something. Pretty magnificent. Have any other businesses/organizations/municipal operations done anything similar to this building?
When did AE quit making the Broadstreet in brown and white? I just received some today that have some definite age to them. But until I re-read Zohar's post about the only way to get them in brown was to custom order them, I didn't realize the potential age of these.
Anyway, they are...
