At work, I took it upon myself to build a new website for our library. Our old one was archaic, looked bad, and did not work very well.
It looked like this:
http://web.archive.org/web/20040121234135/http://www.florencelibrary.org/

So a guy I work with, Brad, and I both worked together on this for the past 3 months.
We finally got it finished, and I put it on the server this afternoon. Now I feel like a huge weight has lifted off of me!

What do you guys think of the new look? Comments and suggestions are welcome.

I like the stream-line look with clasical elements(colum), and also the ease of use. Good work and I am making a website for my historical society, and it is taking forever, so I feel your pain.

Oh yeah I like the new one much better. I like the little wheels on the book mobile link too. Pretty easy on the eyes as far a color and brightness goes. I can't stand web sites that blind you for hours after looking at them. Who wants to have to research with sun glasses on. :cool2:

Wow-wee! You've described that building to me in the past, I know, but that picture really shows it. That is really something. Pretty magnificent. Have any other businesses/organizations/municipal operations done anything similar to this building?
