I love the peeptoes that have the tiny opening as I don't really like feet too much - the small opening is a happy compromise. Hard to find a pair with the tiny opening and not as LD says "'come and look as my whole front foot comes out of my shoe because this opening is stupidly big' toes, yuck".
See I wasn't sure about Scream 4 as I loved the first one, liked the second one and really didn't care for the third one (maybe Courtney's weird fringe ruined it for me) and I was hoping 4 may redeem the franchise but had my doubts - good to hear some positive feedback on it.
I often wondered if ladies wore stockings with peeptoe shoes (meant to ask you ladies about this for ages!) but the other week I was watching a film noir - think it was Scarlet Street - and I noticed that the leading lady when she took of her peeptoe shoes was wearing stockings. Nowadays...
You're all very welcome! I will try to get the photo scanned - it's in good condition so should come out well.
I was talking to my Mum this morning and she said the photo is not of my Grandfather's friends but of her Uncle Christy, his friend Christy Gorman and their friends and he is...
The Thin Blue Line - excellent and quite scary documentary about a miscarriage of justice. I always think being imprisoned for something you didn't do has to be one of the most terrifying and horrendous things that could happen to you...
My Mum had a handpainted dress when she was younger - I could ask her and see how she cleaned it - will get back to you!
Ok - I just spoke to my Mum and she said that she didn't wash her dress - she just hung it out to air it as she was afraid that the paint would run if she washed it. She...
The other day I picked up this green satin dress that I bought some time ago from the dry cleaners - it has a kind of a flap of fabric to the front and there was a greasy spot on it - it was my first time cleaning it (was hoping to wear it for dinner last weekend) - the second I saw the dress I...
I am currently sorting out my Mum and Dad's photo album - trying to put it into some order and came across this photo - as far as I can remember these are my Grandfather's friends who were in the original IRA - I'm not sure what year it was taken and I believe my Grandfather is not in the photo...
This simple dress (new with tags) will look good after an iron and I may take it up if it's a little on the long side:
I saw this 1940's dressing gown and fell in love with it - The fabric! The cut! The buttons!
I think I know who you mean - initially when I saw her cherry necklaces I was thinking how rare and fab they were and then she seemed to have batches of new ones every week - I think they are really sweet but if they aren't authentic I would have to pass.....
LinaSofia - thank you so much - you're very kind.
LittleMissToniJo - thank you! I am very fond of the mirror too (good old Laura Ashley) - it's ridiculously delicate though - not sure how we will ever move it again!
"The Invention of Murder - How the Victorians Revelled in Death & Detection & Created Modern Crime" by Judith Flanders - I've only just started this book but can already tell this is going to be an excellent read!
