I have never spanked my daughter, not that I never felt like I wanted to. I just don't think it's at all necessary. All it does is show your child you are out of control, not in control.
I saw Children of Men and we really liked it, and Clive Owen too. He has that rough around the edges and punched in the face kind of looks, it could work! It can't be any worse than The Black Dahlia.
They just had a segment on CBS Sunday Morning that reported on that article. Crediting JFK for killing the hat and Brad Pitt for bringing it back. You think a "news" program would do a little more research instead of just regurgitating the story.
I don't think anyone has mentioned "The Hudsucker Proxy". Gosh I love that movie!
"When you're dead, you stay dead. Don't believe me, ask Waring Hudsucker."
A couple of guys that are helping "our" scene are wearing hats almost every morning, and it always starts my day out right when Matt and Al are wearing thier fedoras. I just wish they would wear something besides black. They are stuck in that "my hat has to match my overcoat" rut. Just think how...
I recently got my first DB 1940's vintage suit, and the hunt is still on for more! I had a few 60's suits but even those can't compare. I too am now ruined.:D
"Ant Rich, a manager of A & R at Jive Records in New York, has been a hat fan for a few years now. “It goes back to, like, ’02, when the hip-hop industry started dressing up a little bit,”"
Oh yeah, what about RUN D.M.C., they were sportin' lids way before that!
I even went into a Redwing Store here in Houston with a printout of the 1908, he called some higher up and told me the same thing. If so many people ask, why don't they sell them. And why do they think Americans don't want them?
Thanks Fletch and BK, just wanted to make the vendor was at least in the ballpark with me!:) After I get a couple of small alterations I'll post some pics. I'm also going to wear it to my daughters St. Valentines Day Dance!
I noticed they forgot to give you instructions on wearing your hat:
Carefully pick it up by the brim, use two hands as so not to drop it. If it was resting on the crown rotate the hat 180 degrees so the opening is facing down. Raise the hat until it clears the top of your head, if you don't you...
The longer the magazine is around and the more successful it is, the more ads it will have. It's how they make their money. A recent example for me is when I started with Dwell magazine. Great design and not many ads, probably only 1/4 inch thick. Now it's around 3/4 inch thick with the same...
I won this suit recently and it just arrived. It fits almost perfect, but my question is, how vintage is it? I can't find any tags besides the tailor.
It was sold as a vintage 1940's suit,
Just curious.:)
