    PDA or PAD ??

I had a Palm for a while but the thing was just too much work for what I got out of it. It just seemed like another hobby I didn't have time for, updating, synching, downloading etc. The Molskine Calendar is much more user friendly, and I can doodle too!:)

    A Vintage Recording Studio

I picked up a magazine called "Radio & Television News" at an antique store once. The issue I have is dated April '52, not sure how far it goes back.

Top 10 Comic Actors of All Time

I don't know, I'm a pretty big Bob Hope fan. I'd have to squeeze him in there somewhere. But I don't disagree with the rest of your list:)

At the Dog Track... The Whippets

Here's mine, I haven't had a chance to take my own photo of it yet, so here is the Ebay shot. It needs a little cleaning but it's in great shape!

    Cleaning ties at home?

I read on another forum that using Dryel is a great way to freshen up vintage ties. Has anyone tried it?

    Children?

The logistics of traveling with a kid is not the problem, it's the cost. Sure we take her to Austin, Dallas and such, but a trip to Paris--can't really afford that anymore. Now if we could ride a train to France that would be nice;) .

How Did You Discover Old Time Radio?

It was probably the shows "Prairie Home Companion", "This American Life" and general NPR that made me think about listening to old radio. After that I just started buying old Bing Crosby and Bob Hope shows on CD.

    30's~40's Work Boots

Wow that's interesting. My understanding is that our ancestors stayed in England with the Norman invasion, but who knows. Are those surnames too?

    Children?

We waited until we were in our late (in my case very late) 30's to have the kiddo. In regards to the "golden age" aspect, both my parents were born when their folks were in their early 40's, in the early 40's. And they were both only children. So in my family I am following in those golden age...

    30's~40's Work Boots

Thanks BT! So Stovall is similar to the word boot? In which languages? My heritage is traced back to 1665 London so I never really thought about my name having a definition. I also attributed the Sears ad to Marc C. when it was you who posted it. My error. And I forgot about the photos of...

    30's~40's Work Boots

Here are some photos of my Jump Boot to Work Boot conversions. Remember, these were both about 12 inches high before I took them in, and since they are made from my old Jump Boots they are already well broken in.

    Dashiell Hammet

The current issue of Oxford American has a really great cover story on Noir, and how it's an underrated and often overlooked genre. The feature article was written by a lit prof, and it has a lot of great info!

    Art Deco Home Theater PC

I don't know if you felt your ears burnin' a while back, but I know your site has come up before. I remember going to it when we were having a discussion about why computers are so ugly, many many months ago. All your work looks great!
