Why do I hate the 1970s so much?

We lived in a place that was semi-rural, I'm sure that's a factor too. We rode our dirtbikes in the woods all summer and snowmobiles all winter. As for clothes the funny thing is the "uniform" of my youth was jeans, work boots, baseball shirts and flannel shirts in top (they brought that look...

    The Adventurer's Gear Thread

As a kid in the 60's and 70's we went camping all the time in one of those 3 room Army surplus tents. They sure were fun but not real quick to set up, and also not really waterproof. But it just all added to the fun!

Why do I hate the 1970s so much?

I liked the seventies too, I graduated high-school in 1980 in upstate NY. I think that people that are old enough (and I'm talking at least High School) to remember that period have an entirely different view than anyone younger- all of their 70's information has been distilled down through pop...

Calling all men in North Carolina! Hatted gents needed as extras!

The movie takes place in 1920's winter, so the men are requested to dress in dark pants/ties, and either fedoras or tweed caps and the shooting is from from April 16-20 and April 23rd? Sounds like a heat stroke waiting to happen.

    Focus only on vintage?

Vintage only would exclude all of the great hat makers we have here too. I think the vintage/classic style theme we have is still unique and what we want.:)

    How to?

My parents were cleaning out the attic and my dad found an old ammo bag, probably 60's era, among all his old Army stuff. It's all stiff, not brittle, but you know how that old military stuff gets, like it was left in the back of a Jeep for a few years and soaked up a bunch of dirt and oil. My...

    Happy Drunk/Mean Drunk

Happy, happy, joy, joy! But this thread brings up a discussion I've had with friends: If you get "sleepy" after drinking and crash on the couch or just go to bed, is that passing out? Where is the line?[huh]
