Thanks...I've started taking a real liking for this hat. It's the only beaver I have and the felt is wonderful. The brim is 1 7/8"....stingy but not miserly! -

Non-fiction: The Civil War of 1812 by Alan Taylor...a really interesting (so far) interpretation of the War of 1812. Fiction: Dean Koontz's Frankenstein: the Dead Town. Gotta find out what happens with Victor and his creations.- DNO

Thanks...in all my years of collecting, I've only seen two Boer War slouch hats on the market: a South Africa Constabulary hat and this one. I missed the first one (a lot of Canadians served in the SAC). Boer War stuff is rarer than hens teeth up here. -
