Great seeing all of your latest finds - I'm practically green with envy!
A recent purchase (seller's photos) of a soft-felt Bruder Bohm. I also recieved two pre-war Huckels that I need to get around to photographing - one a tagged 56 which luckily fits my 57 size head, the other sadly, a 54.
Thanks gents, the bonus was that it was a bargain!
Always appreciate your insight Steve - never thought about the connections to the factories!
We're all green with envy - truly your cup runneth over!
A recent arrival (sadly not as numerous as Steve's amazing haul!). A Brüder Böhm Cromwell for the French Market. I'm tentatively guessing early 40s.
Nice proportions, mid ribbon, felt is wonderfully pliable, dense but thin. Glad to finally find a Böhm in my size.
As you can see, the sweats...
Hats intended for other markets are particularly interesting to me. To add salt to the wound the Sigma was a 57/58cm... But fret not, I'm in the process of sourcing a Platin and Jota - fingers crossed! (at least Im fairly sure, the seller photo are a bit blurry).

From last week, parade of Black Velours
1. 30s Huckel Alpha
2. 30s Flechet longhair, a bit of wear to this old fella
3. 30s Omnium, brim up
4. 10s/20s Berg, only American in this otherwise continental line-up
5. 00s/10s italian brim up by Valencia
Many thanks for your kind compliment! I consider my collection still relatively modest compared to the giants in this forum!
Yes - I was impressed at the quality of the lining and sweat. The liner is a beautiful purple that my photos dont do justice - the sweat just needs a little conditioner...
The Steinhard & Co. Arrived. Wonderful felt, turned out to be a lovely rich brown. Looking at the tag, the AP makes me think Anton Peschel is the maker - though slightly different font than an late teens/twenties A. Peschel tag I've seen. Guess it to be 30s or so.
Sadly, turns out it is an...
