Have You Ever Met A Movie/TV Star or Celebrity?

I hear they are making a prequel to Bubba Ho Tep called Bubba Nosferatu. I read that Bruce Campbell will not be involved in Bubba Nosferatu, but a search on the internet comes up with contradictory info. Does anyone know if he'll be in the movie or not? I also read that Paul Giamatti will be...

    Your TOP Bogart movie..?

You'll like Brother Orchid. TCM plays it from time to time. I think this movie is more memorable because of Edward G. Robinson though. He's another actor remembered mostly for his gangster/noir roles, but he could really do it all.

    Your TOP Bogart movie..?

You don't even have my favorites on the list! lol My favorites tend to be movies like The Caine Mutiny, The Treasure of the Sierra Madras and The Desperate Hours. I like when he's not playing his typical noir roles (as good as they are) and you can really see the depth and skill of his acting.

    Blackadder

I meant to type "because Stephen Fry is in Season 4 a lot." When I went back to edit my original post, I think I deleted that part accidentally. At any rate, it's all brilliant stuff, Season 1, 2, 3, or 4... I was just also thinking of the episode of Blackadder Goes Forth where they dress...

    Blackadder

That makes three of us. Thanks to Blackadder, I can't watch House at all. Hugh's just so delightfully funny when he plays daft gentry. And don't forget the Celebrity Challenge episode of The Young Ones where Hugh played Lord Monty. Hilarious! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtUzjurOYN4 Up...

My largest vintage purchase so far!

I agree, I have a large tree in my front yard in close proximity to the house and it keeps the entire front of my house cool. The tree was planted in 1914 and it's lovely. But, I second the pruning recommendation from experience. When you have tree branches touching the side of the house...

    Transformers... how about it?

I just did a google search to see who recorded "The Touch" and it was someone named Stan Bush. I also found the music video for it: http://www.seibertron.com/media/video/thetouch/index.php WARNING: This video is extremely craptacular. I take no responsibility for any ear or eye injuries...

    Transformers... how about it?

So here's the big question I need answered about the Transformers movie (forget the GGI, forget the character development)... Does the new movie have the song "The Touch" in it from the original Transformers movie? lol  lol

    Cute Vintage-y Shoes

The sizing is on the small side. Normally, I either wear a 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe. I got a pair of size 9 Faryl Robins and I'm glad I did. An 8.5 would have been too small. If you are between sizes, I would definitely order the larger size.

    GUNS,GUNS and GUNS!!!!

I agree, I think European culture is much more comfortable about sexuality. Just for example, a german friend once told me that he would much rather his child see a naked body on tv, then see a person being shot with a gun on tv. His reasoning was that the human body is a natural thing. But...

    GUNS,GUNS and GUNS!!!!

You got me there... Sorry, I was going to use another analogy, but I decided not to because I didn't want to run the chance of offending people with a generalization that might hit too close to home. For example, I didn't want to post "*insert analogy here* owned guns" and have a bunch of...

    GUNS,GUNS and GUNS!!!!

:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap I agree 100%. I can't stand when I hear people saying "Guns made this country great." Statements like that have become a crutch for too many people in this country. Guns are but a means or a tool to accomplish an end, they didn't make this country...

    Show us your vintage hats!

BK - Those all look to be pre-1920s hats. I don't know much about dating hats from earlier periods, but I think they are 1900s or perhaps late 1800s. The one that you said feels like fake straw looks to me like it may be horsehair. Any thoughts ladies?

    A little heart fades away.

Paddy, your post and the poem that Rondo posted both brought tears to my eyes. Animals are such special friends, I think their unconditional love touches a special part of one's heart that other things/people can't. My heartfelt condolences go out to you (and anyone else who has recently lost...
