Somebody mentioned on another thread that he wore only a straw boater for a few weeks this summer. That would be easy to spot, if a bit off-putting. lol
I do have a black 3-1/2" brim Stetson cowboy hat, with felt that would stop a small-caliber bullet. I don't wear it much, but it's there should the need arise. :)
I cannot imagine Hollywood taking this on. I enjoyed the movie of "The Fountainhead" with Gary Cooper and Ray Collins.
"Atlas Shrugged" was assigned reading in an Econ 101 class I took at the University of Hawaii at Hilo in 1980. I swear I'm not kidding.
I managed to snag a Disney (not this one) for the opening bid. I'll let y'all know if I made a true score or just picked up another beater. lol

A 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300SD turbo Diesel is my normal daily driver, but until I get a few problems taken care of (it's in remarkably good shape for 23 years and over 300,000 miles) I'm driving my '92 Ford Ranger pick-em-up. The Ford runs well, but manual steering, no A/C and a hard-riding...
That's what mystifies me. Look under "Top Hats" on eBay and you get all kinds of ball caps, trucker caps, even military hats.
If I had the time and energy, I'd send messages to those sellers explaining what a "Top Hat" is, but they probably don't speak English.
