This points out the importance of understanding the difference between Palm Beach fabric and the Palm Beach company. This is a jacket from the latter, and probably not made of the fabric.
What I want are the Broadstreets in brown and white. But those haven't been made in years. Every so often a pair will pop up on Ebay, often the Olympic edition they made for Atlanta '96. They are always out of my price range.
The bourbon and bone combo has been discontinued, in favor of a black and white version. For this year, anyway. It'll probably change again in a season or two. The only place you'll be likely to find the bourbon/bone combo now is at AE outlets.
I'd have phrased it a bit more politely than Jerekson did, but I agree that something seems slightly off. I think it's the proportions between the slim-cut jeans and the bulky upper body with three not-particularly-slim layers. I do think that LuckyStrike's pose, with one arm raised...
If I ever manage to get to Batsakes in Cincinnati, I'll ask Gus Miller if he can do it. I tried to go last weekend, but got there a few minutes after he closed up.
I like them too. How can you tell the metal content on things like this? Are they marked? I ask because I'm curious as to what the two pairs I posted above are made from, and I can't find any markings on them.

No surprise that manufacturers' practices may vary, but I can pull lots of trousers out of my closet that all measure to within half an inch of the marked size.
As to the jacket, I think my point still stands: Brooks Brothers intends their size 36 jacket to fit the average man with a 36"...
No problem.
Not at all. It is perfectly normal for a man's waistline to expand as he gets older. It doesn't happen to everyone, but even men in good physical shape with a low body-fat percentage can experience this. I have customers in their sixties who run several miles a day and eat a...
I don't buy the whole vanity sizing thing, at least not for men. I don't think men's clothes are sized significantly differently than they were at any time in the 20th century. This is because of the way men's clothes are sized: not an arbitrary number like 2, 4, 6, etc., but keyed to a...
