^Very cute sweater on you! Is the material quite thin and summery?

    Show Us Your Compacts . . .

The puff in two of mine was in bad condition, so I did buy new puffs from the drugstore. You can use both loose and compact powder, but obviously loose powder could spill easier in your handbag. I have managed to buy a Rimmel compact powder in a cheap plastic case and removed it from the...

    Show Us Your Compacts . . .

Ohh, what a fun thread! I only have three so far, but can see how collecting them may become addictive... First a Kigu basket compact And these two were recent birthday gifts from my husband. I especially love the one with the bee, absolutely adore it.

Oh, the Stigma of an Astigmatism. . .

Oh, nice! I thought the violet would be really purple, but your's looks almost tortoiseshell. In any case, it looks fabulous on you :)

Which colour is it? The red or violet?

Oh, the Stigma of an Astigmatism. . .

I've been looking online just now, but can't seem to find anywhere in the UK that offers this. I'd have to save up for them anyway, but I'll keep it in mind. Also, not sure they'd look as great on me as on you two ladies :)

Oh, the Stigma of an Astigmatism. . .

Wow, these make me wish I wore glasses! Too bad they don't have these frames for sunglasses. ETA: I hope that doesn't sound insensitive. I love the look of some glasses, but understand it is a huge pain for some people to have to wear them.

What's on Top - Bras, panties, garter belts, slips, & stockings

Oh, I'm sure it wouldn't look like traffic cones! Although I am not big busted, I think if anything they'd act a bit like a minimiser, because there isn't any room for overspilling etc., it's all very contained. One thing about the longline Doreen is that they don't work with low-cut tops and...

What's on Top - Bras, panties, garter belts, slips, & stockings

That is true, I have sone trusted brands and buy the same bras in different colours. I have more of a problem buying vintage ones online, as I don't trust the measurements sellers put up, since they are so often wrong.

What's on Top - Bras, panties, garter belts, slips, & stockings

I don't wear vintage bullet bras (keep getting outbid and don't see my size that often), but I have a longline Triumph Doreen that I love with my 50's dresses. I got it really cheap on Ebay, and it wasn't advertised as the Doreen, but arrived and fit like a charm. I can't usually get myself to...

I have a specific fabric in mind for this (which I can't afford at the moment), but I have high hopes!

    Custom made vintage repros...

Oh no, sorry to hear that. I saved up for a while last year and was so excited to have a dress made by the same seller, but on Etsy. I really wanted the Dior dress Dita was pictured in and had a lot of tweed that I wanted to send her to use, but she said that wasn't possible and I had to pick...

    Loungers' Pets

Being German I make up words all the time, much to the amusement of my husband. :) However, "funnily" is indeed often used in the UK.

    Loungers' Pets

Yes, I guess our washing machine is fairly small :) I do miss those huge toploaders I had in Canada, especially for washing sheets etc. Lily was 5 months when she came to us, and she was still a very small cat, but completely ballooned after she got neutered. The other two were only 7 weeks...

    Loungers' Pets

^They really are, but funnily enough we only have one cat who likes sleeping on there, the other one is not interested. I was looking through some old photos and found some of our cats as kittens. They make me a bit sad since we lost Bo last year, but also made me smile. Who doesn't love...
