If you do decide to dye your hair at home, I would keep sticking to Clairol...I've tried the other brands and have not cared for them at all, especially Revlon. Blond was very popular and there were a lot of red head stars as well. Jitterbug's always great with this kind of stuff, along with...
I can see a little lounge get together over there. You know, I've wanted to check out the caves but have yet to get around to it. What sounds really interesting is the ape caves (no there isn't any real apes).
wow, there's quite a few more ladies in here now! Welcome to the lounge, I'm glad you're now jumping in and posting! Hope you meet some wonderful ladies in here and as you well know, learn more of your area of interest regarding vintage.
I really wasn't all that suprised hearing about this, but, the kids really loved the guy. He seemed like a nice enough bloke. And I agree, at least he died doing what he loved
She's such a beautiful lady, that, to me, the cigarette still looks gross...but, the picture would have been great her just sitting there [huh]
You see the old movies and the smoke sometimes get's so thick like a curtain, growing up in a house where the exact thing was a daily reality, makes...
And this is exactly what many doctors are saying. Since I have all girls, I've mainly read up on the role of a father in a girls life. The statistics drastically drop for a girl having teen sex if the father is a constant figure in her life. This is why I make sure my husband has a 'date night'...
classicisbetter: I think you look A LOT like the guy on House M.D.! But, you do look better...I really don't like the stubbly thing he's got going on :)
MikeinSeattle: Laura, thanks for saying what movie she's in! I've heard of the movie and it sounds like one of those 'must see's'.
I just bought Revlon lipstick, in a red color (the classic lady line, or whatever it's called, I got the one Eva was wearing) anyways, great color, but, I think it's too red for a redhead [huh] maybe it's just me, but haircolor can seem to play a role in what make-up colors look good on...
You can still buy pancake make-up, right? The pictures I see of 40's actresses are absolutely beautiful.
What I"ve started doing was put on a little bit of lipstick on my cheeks for blush, and then to finish the look, lightly dab on some powder blush.
Since the weather's finally warming back up again around here, I will for sure be doing some bbq'ing :D I really don't have any definete plans made, I just want to relax, maybe do some yard work [huh]
I don't think I need to reword my post at all to fit reality. Being a teenager once, I know how it is, and I assume it's only worse now. I am very open with my girls, according to their maturity level of course. Believe me, during this time, I'm training up my girls to be real ladies, I do not...
Any time I wear lipstick, I wear lip liner. To me, my lips look fuller with it, and I just like the overall effect it has. One trick I found in not having the 'line around the lips' problem, is to not only line the outside of the lips, but to color the lips like a crayon...this way, when the...
I would really recommend staying away from wet'n'wild. With cosmetics, generaly, you get what you pay for. If you want to get products easily found at your local convienance store, stick to products like Almay, Revlon, Max Factor.
Mary Kay makes a great lip liner also. The one I have that would probably work great for what you're talking about is 'ruby red'. It glides on easy and has a great look to it.
