    Cigar, Cigarette...

That sounds like it wouldn't cause any alarm for the doctor. I heard that a drink nightly was good for you, or was that just red wine? [huh] anyways, just about everything in moderation is just fine, the problem is, most people tend to abuse it, wether it be alcolhol, food, ect.

What you say drives me crazy.

And those kinds of people usually find themselves VERY lonely. Who wants to put up with a habitual complainer? I do find though, that my closest friends are those who are very grounded and are more on the pessimestic side. I tend to be almost too optimistic about things!...I also think though...

Parents: When May Our Children Start Dating?

With having three girls myself, this is the one subject (ok, maybe all of them around the house with pms ranks high up there also) that freaks me out! None of them will date before 16 without an adult chaperone. Any further dating will be determined by the maturity level of the child. Once I...

    Cigar, Cigarette...

I only smoked cigarettes for a year when I was a sophmore, mostly because of peer pressure, never really enjoyed it, but for that year, I thought I was pretty darn cool:rolleyes: I love the smell of a good cigar...when someone else is smoking it!

    non orangey self tanners

I've been using this product for a month now and have gotten nothing but great compliments on my 'tan' :D It's, coppertone gradual tan. It definetely has more umph than the jergens, meaning I see a better and darker tan in just a few applications.

    Hello, I'm new!

I don't know if you were wanting to get your hair cut, but there are styles from the 40's that are for long hair. Examples are Rita Hayworth and Veronica Lake.

    That tune in your head

Girl Friday, lol lol my 5yr old used to have hair like that when she was younger, everyone loved it! James: halo thing? I had my hair to where the bangs would go as high up as possible..yeah, possilbly a halo effect. I think it took half of a bottle of hairspray just to get the look pulled off...

    Interesting Our Daughters in Vintage

My oldest daughter, (she's soon to be 10yrs old), loves vintage as well. She's always been the 'girly girl' type, so dressing up is pure pleasure for her! It's been a lot of fun taking her with me to local vintage stores and looking around together and discovering how good of taste my girl has!

    Hello, I'm new!

Hi Bookie! Welcome to the lounge! It sounds like we may have some things in common: I too am married, have two dogs, 3girls, and not really an expert on classic style either. I will say this, it has been a lot of fun getting to know the ladies in here and gleaning from thier knowledge on hair...

Help!!! I hate the "kiss hello"

lol ...oh stop it...you're making me blush:o lol I think a guy complimenting me on how good I smell would be taken as a compliment, but I agree with Lauren, it also depends on how it is said. Ex: compliment of nice smell followed along with heavy panting...would NOT go over well with us ladies :p

    That Finishing Touch

I love things like that, they become priceless because of the sentiment that goes with them. I too inherited some jewelry pieces, but unfortunately, my parents let me use them as play wear when I was younger, needless to say, they didn't last all that long  Daisy, I agree, those prices...
