lol I know I've always been somewhat of a downer as far as that goes. I know many people who love songs for the instrumental qualities, but pay no attention to the lyrics being song to it. I've had many friends get mad at me for spoiling a once loved song when I sang some lyrics from it...

    hair extensions

The sewn in kind doesn't sound like fun! I'm all for comfort yet looking fabulous ;) I bought some of the clip kinds from Sally Beauty Supply. I got so frustrated putting the darn things in that I threw them in a drawer and haven't tried it again  The clips were just not staying...

    Keep Honking...I'm Reloading

Here's one I saw today that I thought was pretty funny: I live in my own little world, but it's ok, they know me there

Oh the Stigma with wearing seamed fully fashioned stockings!

What was kind of funny was that last Sunday, I wore my seamed stockings to church and these two 'older' ladies came up to me totally amused that I would be wearing such a thing. According to these ladies, they don't want to see them back in style [huh] I'm becoming quite a fan myself of...

    Pleasantville

The plot was a bit iffy, which I know I did a bad job warning you about since everyone was raving about it. I took it as everyone in black and white lived in this leave it to beaver type of world that was just not reality. It was when they realized this they turned into color. Like every film...

    Maisie Dobbs Mystery Series

What may be a good idea, since there's quite a few of us who love a good mystery book, is to give references for great authors to read or favorite book. I'll find an author that I love then read every book by them, but it's always sad when I need to find something else out there since I hate...

Bellytank, those are great websites! My favorite by far is the orient touch one...not too bad price wise and I absolutely love some of the elegant dresses on that site.

Smokers and non smokers, what do you do, what do you think?

For anyone who needs help breaking their bad habits, new technology may shock those of you into action. For smokers, a camera takes a picture of your face and ages it ten or more years to show what you will look like with smoking-induced wrinkles: http://www.way2quit.com

Well that makes more sense, her being a showgirl, or ex showgirl, would of gave me a clue to where she came from at least. I came into the movie having no idea the background on any of these people. And I agree with the fiancee, didn't seem somebody that he would of fallen for.

Short pants and lack of feminine style

I've heard too that that the vintage style is in. Also, looking at a lot of magazine covers I"ve noticed women having a more 'classic' look to them, which is a very nice change! Also, the 'noir' look is in for this fall and winter (which is a lot of black, but very elegant) I'm really liking...

    Long Vintage Hair

I also like putting my hair into a bun. For nights outs, I put my hair in sponge rollers. I find it's best to put them in at night and go ahead and sleep in them. My curls seems to last a lot longer that way. Also, just finding some cute hair accessories can really do a lot for dressing up hair.

Madrid: Models Who Are Too Skinny Are Unwelcome.

I remember reading an article about a magazine steering in this same direction not too long ago..I'm pretty sure it was 'Allure'. Models such as Kate Moss are more on the disgusting side than sexy, to me it screams out, 'feed me a candy bar! :p Also with teens, they're trying to copy what...

    Vintage Hair shades

ok, speaking of coloring, I'm needing (or wanting ;) ) to go back to my natural hair color which is a dark brown (as you can see from my picture it's light red), is it easier going darker or lighter? also....how long do you have to wait until you can dye it again? my major concern is getting my...

    Day Make-Up, Evening Make-UP

Daisy, another tip for daytime make-up is that, I find that just putting on a liquid eye liner on the top lid of my eye works great and then for evening, with an angled make-up brush (a q-tip may also work if you're in a bind as well) and line the lower lashes with a dark brown shadow. (I find...

If you could cast YOURSELF in one goldenera movie...

Roman Holiday. By far this is my favorite movie ever. And, who better to be your leading man than Gregory Peck?;)
