how weird that they include heels in the height! it sounds like that's what they mean though... otherwise why would they bring up the shoes at all? hmm...
i don't really watch tv, but here's a list of shows i enjoy on dvd, in no particular order, with pointless commentary
carnivale - i just finished season one and i loved everything about it!
my so-called life - i WAS angela chase.
freaks and geeks - hilarious and just great.
space ghost...
i think i heard that too. like you, i have problems with my wrist, which rules out doing a lot of stuff on a professional level.
being a PI sounds cool as well! maybe if i hate teaching i'll go back to school again for that! ;)
joe-joes (like oreo's from trader joes). ice cream. chocolate. etc.
i have a hard time with any sort of sweet on my shelves. i'm good about not eating my housemates' stuff though! i am glad none of them buy much of it though, because then it sits on the shelf and taunts me!
i try to keep...
that's probably where i would take it, faythe, although i probably wouldn't do a whole certificate! i mainly just want to weld cool sculptures out of used bike parts for my backyard and stuff ;)
community colleges are great, aren't they! i also have my eye on a couple of natural building...
i can speak from the experience of myself and many others i know... this will not necessarily get your butt into the gym! lol perhaps they have a short-term membership so you can try it first?
other than that... i don't have advice. my exercise consists of biking (as transportation), walking...
in my town, it seems like people are groveling for decent work. so many $1-over minimum-wage, no health benefits jobs are expecting workers with degrees and several years of experience! i recently applied for a job with a non-profit magazine that had slightly better wages and benefits, but...
just wanted to say that i think y'all are so cool! i was always thinking it would be cool to learn a trade. i wanna drive a forklift! i think i will have to settle for taking a basic carpentry or welding course as soon as i have the time/money, though :)
portland? what? i'm in portland! i am also from LA. however, i am not moving back there! when are you moving?
now that i'm done being nosy... welcome to the powder room!
sophia, i've had bangs on-and-off for 10 years so i've worked quite a few things out for myself. these are things that work for me. first, i cut them shorter than i used to... that way there's less hair to droop over time. i've found a sweet spot where i cut them back to every week or so. at...
one of my friends was moving cross-country and spent a small fortune on those bags. in general, it seemed like they really only made a significant difference with stuff that was fluffy, like comforters. stuff like baby clothes that she had already folded down... not so much of a difference...
kimberly, i totally agree with those who say to ditch the belt! i like that suggestion for taking apart the seams and tucking in the loops. i have a couple dresses like that one that do not have beltloops, and patterns like it that don't show a belt with it, so i think it would be historically...
according to my yoga instructor, 15 minutes of lying on your back with your legs up the wall is equivalent to a 3-hour nap, to your body :)
2 more, according to her/yoga:
giving yourself a mini foot massage when you're particularly tired or grumpy can really energize you.
tapping on...
very cute!
a few years ago i bought a acid-free spiral-bound scrapbook and some plastic (more hardy) photo corners. i put a bunch of my smaller pieces of ephemera in it and they are still accessible if i want to open them up and look inside, thanks to the photo corners! my old system was an...
i used to have a vintage dress very similar to this one:
right now i am REALLY glad i don't like buying new clothes off the internet and the closest target is five miles away - there are a lot of cute dresses!
pssst... those knobby racks sunny posted show up in thriftstores ALL THE TIME!!
right now my purses are everywhere since i just moved into a new bedroom. the plan is to line them all up on a shelf, instead of being stashed in random spots.
