It always cracks me up that people here strive to hard to mimic the 30's and 40's style, until a random photo (of Cary Grant no less) pops up and people can find all these things that are "wrong" with it.lol
I bought the big black one and the Moonbeam at Pottery Barn probably 6 or 7 years ago, and I'm sure I paid a premium. They have been in constant use in our home since then and I've never had any trouble with them. Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware use to sell reproductions all the time back...
I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I noticed that none of the trailers or still photos I've seen ever show Indy wearing his gloves. It seems that I remember him wearing them quite often in the other movies.
They should have just hired an illustrator to create an image similar to that to get he point across, without actually altering the original photo. That probably would have drawn very little flak. But maybe they were just looking to get attention.
Very sad day for animation indeed.:(
