When I get a new pair of boots (in fact I just did this last week) I fill them up with warm water, let it sit for about 15 minutes to soak in. Then pour the water out and wear them until they are dry, usually all day. Then the next day I condition them with Pecard Shoe Oil. Works like a dream.
That is true, but not at first. Initially they did a direct translation and it was a flop. But several years later they made the dialog more "off the wall" with sillier voice-overs and it was a hit. At least that's the story as I recall. Either way it is kind of odd.
I'll have to slightly disagree about the "thankfully lost to oblivion", I think it would be fascinating to see some of those now. They would at least be an interesting record of the low budget, good old days. I'll pick up movies like that at the Dollar Store sometimes, definitely worth a buck.;)
Are we really going to start squeezing in stops for the hat in the middle of the list? I signed up back in 2006 and if we start doing that I'm sure I'll never see it. Unless someone is in the same town and can meet up for photos I think any new folks should be added at the end of the list.
I don't see how my take of what's going on is any more "right or wrong" than yours, unless you are secretly a writer for the show;) . What it really comes down to for me is that I don't think that people are were any nicer in the 40's than they were in the 60's. I don't buy the Hollywood version...
I had no idea who Cillian Murphy was before Batman Begins, so it's possible they are going with lesser known actors. It's better than the "stars" they picked in the last incarnations.
I just hope they don't bring in Robin for this series.
