    Real Genius

What I've noticed as I've grown older is that grey hair tends to be wild, it tends to stick up more than the hair that still has its color. That contributes to the "genius" look.

    Los Angeles Loungers...Need some info.

If you're used to San Francisco "Summers," stay the heck out of the San Fernando Valley or you will spontaneously combust. It hit 120F in Woodland Hills ("West Valley") last summer.

Which city is best for vintage?

It depends on just how vintage you want to get. I'd say Rome. ;)

    At the QM or not?

Just imagine the last great ocean liner that remains afloat, her decks alive with dozens and dozens of gentlemen in suits and fedoras, and dozens and dozens of ladies in their vintage finest. Oh, and entirely by coincidence a ghost-hunter's convention complete with late-night radio host...

Golden Age Actor dies and No-One at FL Notices!

Charles Lane, who did a lot of character roles in the 1930s including a small part in "Gold Diggers of 1933" still lives at about 101, last I heard. And speaking of "Gold Diggers" Gloria Stuart who starred in the 1935 version is alive and well at 96.

    Dress shirts are dead.

No, it wasn't that detailed, at least for the first shirt. I ordered a second one, and they gave me a bunch of options to increase or decrease various dimensions on the shirt, so the second one should fit better. The first one was fine except that the cuffs were just a shade tight.

How we dress and what we drive

Hey, I didn't catch this earlier, but I'm from Los Altos too! Specifically, the corner of Page Mill Road and Moody Road in Los Altos Hills. I lived there from my birth in 1961 to when my family moved to Hawaii in 1970. I haven't been back since 1975, but I hope to take a road trip soon.

Men rejoice! High armholes are back..

A black bandanna with eye holes and a fedora would do the job and look more stylish. ;)
