Good points gentlemen.
So, whaddya think HD, will the Highwayman ride up on me when reaching forward or upward?
I seem to recall somebody here getting one with the Action Back and posting pix.
Anyone recall the post?
Lenny
I've got an Aero Highwayman coming and I know it doesn't have the Action Back. All things being equal, I prefer the look of a jacket much more without the Action Back.
But, does the Action Back provide a useful function in a jacket such as the Highwayman?
Or is it more suited to other styles...
All great reasons.
It's nice that you were able to try one on before purchase.
That's the risk I'm taking with my current Aero order.
Good luck with the jacket.
From your pix, it seems to fit perfectly.
It's really beautiful and should last several life times.
Lenny
Woah, that's a lot of beautiful tartans.
I've got a brown Highwayman coming with the Royal Stewart lining.
Have any of you tried different tartans in combo with the brown horse hide?
Does Aero allow you to use any tartan you want?
Lenny
You lucky dawg.
Thanks for the measurement offer.
BTW, what's your height, weight, shirt size, chest size etc.
PM me or post it up please.
Mine won't arrive til some time in May. :(
Lenny
Just wondering if anybody has one they could take a few measurements from.
I have one on order from Aero and was just wondering what I can expect.
I'd especially like to know what your arm pit to arm pit measurement is so I can compare it to another jacket I have.
Also, please tell me your...
I'm with Hawk Eye and others on this.
From what I've read, Lost Worlds jackets are no better than those from Aero. Some say that the Horse Hide from Aero is the best in the business.
Now consider the approx $300 extra you'd be paying for a Lost Worlds jacket.
Now consider this Stu guy and...
OK, I did a little more research.
Which Pecard's product do you all use on your Horse Hide?
The ones I looked at on their site state that they are good for all "oil tanned" leathers.
Aero's site states that their leathers are "chrome tanned"
Can anyone explain this to me?
Lenny
Hello all.
I've got an Aero Highwayman on order in FQHH.
I know that they don't need any treatment when new, but how about years later when they're starting to dry out and need a little TLC.
Just wondering what you all use on your jackets.
I've got some Obenaufs Leather Preservative at home...
How about the Red Stewart Worsted Wool liner.
That's what I'm getting in my Highwayman cuz it seemed to be the perfect combination of warmth, thickness, and durability.
Plus, I love the way it looks in contrast to the dark brown of the Horse Hide.:)

I bought a black Andrew Marc Sheepskin jacket probably 10 years or so ago.
(I know, fashion jacket yadda yadda yadda; but it's really well made and beautifully styled, and very heavy)
Anyway, I've worn it pretty much constantly every winter I've owned it.
The body and sleeves have taken on a...
12 weeks is what he told me, which brings me to the end of May.
Maybe it'll still be cool in the evenings so I can get some wearing in.
And yes, patience isn't my virtue either.
But I just keep telling myself, "anything good is worth waiting for".
