Another man with fine taste! :eusa_clap
I'm sure I'll be like you, wearing it from time to time during the summer.
But I'll wait till the wife is out of the house.
She already thinks I'm crazy! :D
Lenny
The mailman just dropped off my Highwayman.
For the record:
- Ordered 1 March 2009
- Aero USA
- Received 20 June 2009
Sorry, but no pix for a week.
We have 2 digital cameras. My wife just took the newer one (which is compatible with Windows Vista) to WV. I have the old one which is not...
Come on, somebody has to make something nicer than that!
How bout this Filson?
Still US made!http://www.filson.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2610582&cp=2069836.2069837.2075111&view=all&parentPage=family

Congrats!
I should be getting my Highwayman very soon also.
However, I'm going on 16 weeks from Aero USA!
There definitely seems to be an advantage ordering directly thru Aero Scotland. Anybody else notice this?
Lenny
If it's a .jpg, all you have to do is upload it to a server, either your own personal ISP (they all provide storage space) or a commercial site like Photo Bucket. Then you need the actual URL of the image.
When you make your post here, just use the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the msg...
The only half decent hat I have now is a wool Pendleton.
I know it'll shrink if I wear it in the rain, but then, that'll give me an excuse to buy an Akubra or some other quality felt hat. I am impressed though, in how the wool keeps my head and shoulders dry during a downpour though.
So, how...
Very sweet.:eusa_clap
I'm dying waiting for mine.
Should be here some time in May.
I'm jealous of all you guys getting your jackets now.
At least here on the east coast, there are still a few cool days
that I'd be able to wear my Highwayman.
I'll probaly get it when the heat starts...
Good hint on the felt squares.
The hat just has a cloth sweat band, and I think it's open at the top.
That'll make it easy to just drop the felt in.
I'll try it, thanks.

I've had a Pendleton Wool hat for a while, but have never worn it because it's just a bit large. I bought a Large because the Med was too tight.
So, my question: is there a safe way to shrink the hat slightly?
Any other tips for wool hat care will also be appreciated.
Thanks all.
Lenny
OK, all, the other thread is getting long and cumbersome.
I'd like to start another simpler version of the thread.
Only people who have actually ordered and received Aero jackets should respond.
Here's what I'd like to see, on 3 separate lines as your response.
1. Date Ordered
2. Ordered...
Just wondering if anybody has had an inner wind flap added to their Aero Highwayman?
Do you think it needs it? The way the jacket looks in pix, seems like the zipper is really tucked in there.
I'm surprised that the jacket doesn't come with it standard anyway.
I assume it would be an...
Man, now I'm bummed:mad:
Ordered my Highwayman March 1.
Maybe I'll have it for the Aug heat! :eusa_doh:
Lenny
PS: Do ya think it makes any difference if you order thru Mark Moye as opposed to directly from Aero?
When I inquired, they told me it was too hard to get or some other lame excuse. Aero and others don't seem to have much difficulty sourcing it.
I was all prepared to drive up to Vanson and try on jackets. Really like the Enfield, but not being able to get it in HH was a deal breaker for me...
I like Schott jackets as much as the next guy.
But if you ask me, Vanson makes the best motorcycle jackets.
True, they don't do HH any more, but their cowhide is super thick, nice grain, and really breaks in nicely.
Plus, the fit and finish was spot on for me.
Nice details like 2 internal belts...
That's a great looking jacket!
Just curious why you eliminated the inner knit cuffs?
And your picture looks fine.
Take some other views and close ups.
And, finally, if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost?
Be gentle cuz I have an Aero Highwayman coming and my wife doesn't...
