Hi everyone. Here's some pictures of my latest acquisitions:

Sharp coats, everyone. Here are a couple pictures of that London Fog overcoat I posted about earlier:

Jersey Shore is the only one I can think of at the moment. I think shows like that are disgusting, representative of moral decay, as well as the deterioration of good taste. I don't tend to watch reality TV (well not much TV period, except for watching some shows I like on YouTube, Netflix, or...
That was a great conversion! I think the hat looks better now than it did before. I prefer a straight-sided crown, with perhaps a little bit of taper, but not as extreme as a modern hat. My favorite dress hat is a vintage Stetson St. Regis I converted to a fedora, and the brim is 2 1/8 inches...
OK, thanks for the dating. I assume that even about twenty-five years ago, London Fog's quality was better than what they make today. After using eBay, I doubt I'd buy an overcoat/trench/raincoat at full price. I think I've got myself a pretty good deal, I hope it fits well. How easily can a...
Hmm, it seemed that the London Fog factory moved away from Baltimore in 1976. My coat has Baltimore in the tag, but alongside London and New York. It also says "Trademarks of Londontown Corporation," and that is supposed to imply the original Baltimore location. Am I wrong?
I have just won an auction for a London Fog overcoat. I already own a 38r raincoat "Maincoat" from that company that fits me too (an older, possibly between '50s to '90s made, I can't tell), so I was scouting for overcoats and saw this one. It was advertised as "vtg mint," and I like the color...
So, I'm deciding to get a tawny fawn Federation IV. It'll be a size 60 instead of the 59 I got with the dark brown one, as that hat feels a bit tight. I also have the Akubra Snowy River in size 60, and it feels right now that it shrank down, maybe still a little bit more shrinking to go before...
The Deer Hunter, starring Robert De Niro and Christopher Walken. It was good, but long. I think the first 1/3 of the movie was mostly the bar and wedding scenes. It's strength was in the latter 2/3s.
I think this is a common feature in vintage ties, although I'm not sure what year or part of a decade would be the cut-of to this from occurring. These ties tend to flare from narrower up top to wider as it goes down to the wide point of the tie "blade." As you've said, in the back, as well as...
I watched that episode of I Love Lucy, Ricky Thinks He's Getting Bald. I don't think I've ever laughed more at an episode of this show. Sometimes I even think I have a receding hairline.
