Lina, sorry to hear that! I recently won the Harlow bra from WKD and agree that it's pointier than any of my vintage bras.
Triumpf makes the Doreen bra in a white satin with a floral motif. I've had my eye on it for a while, but not sure the straps would be a problem for you depending on the cut...

I just bought a 50s wool-mohair dress, and am unsure whether I should hand wash it or try to get it dry-cleaned? I normally hand wash woollens, especially sweaters, but this is quite heavy, and am wondering if it should be treated more like a coat? Any thoughts?
^I agree, Quebecois sounds nothing like French French. It always reminds me of the kind of the Pennsylvania German the Amish speak.
I am fluent in German and English, and at one time was fluent in Turkish and French, but have lost a lot of both. I learned French in school for nearly ten years...
People have taken pictures of me before, but the normally don't show them to me, they try to do it secretly. It is very rude!
Yesterday, after a walk with the dog and picking blackberries, I was covered in stains from the berries and my hair was a total mess. We went into a shop to get some...
I wore a dress I made to a friend's wedding yesterday with a matching half hat and my hair actually done in a wet set, which is a rare occasion for me. People came up to me all day to tell me they loved my look, two people told me they had been talking to their friends about how great I looked...
Daily only my wedding band and ruby engagement ring. I love jewellery, but somehow never spend money on it. My taste has changed a lot, as I was a silver only girl and now prefer gold, so my choices are limited. I have a lovely unusual pearl bracelet and necklace I got for my wedding which I...
Salt and vinegar doesn't work on modern dyes! There are a few products quilters use like Retayne or Synthrapol. http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/1981-AA.shtml
http://www.pburch.net/dyeing/FAQ/synthrapol.shtml, but I have never tried either. I know many people who swear by them though.

After a very nice message form Miss Golightly I suddenly remembered I have a red cocktail hat I've never worn, so the day is saved I believe!
Thanks to Miss G :)
Thanks Rue and C-Dot. I wrote the seller an email, but then remembered that she's on holiday, so don't even know when I will get a reply. I'm just upset that I spent most of my monthly clothing money on a hat I can't wear to this, and possibly can't wear period, since it looks so bridal.
I went...
I just need to rant for a minute...
I just received my hat in the mail and am so annoyed. Instead of gold beads, as listed and as specifically requested by me, the seller used pearls! So now of course it definitely looks like a bridal headpiece, and I can't wear it at all. I even bought a gold...
This is amazing.

I can't believe all those children are actually gone. Seeing the pictures of their faces is somehow more shocking than all the other footage previously.
