I will certainly be checking out Panama Bob for another idea I like. Now that I'll have something to wear right away, I won't be fretting the wait time. That was a consideration in making my first purchase. Thank you and I hope we 'all' wear them in good health!

Thanks very much for this heads up. I pulled the trigger on a deal over there and saved! I had been shopping around and kept going back to a specific hat and didn't want to spend that much. Glad I didn't buy it last week. I figured this was my best chance to get something quick for a decent...
I'm with you JT. Restaurants are a tough place for me even without worrying about a hat. I have some OCD issues and wouldn't be able to leave my hat just anywhere. In fact, this thread has caused me to break out into a cold sweat. LOL!

Great looking hat Dave. Yesterday I saw the Milan in the video on the Optimo site in Chicago. I like the look. No way can I afford their hats though. I was just looking. Just curious...you say a loose 7 3/8. Is that your normal size and you say their 7 3/8 fits loose? I'm 7/38 and have been...
Here in the FAQ's, there are instructions for posting images. Do you have any photos online anywhere?

It's interesting to see all the different looks. As I review this thread, watch old movies and see old family pictures, I realize that some guys look great with the hat cocked to the side (James Stewart) or pushed way up and back (Howard Hughes). I can't pull 'any' of that off. I guess I'm not...
CDunlap, here's how it's done using your Photobucket site. Over on the right in Photobucket, under 'Share Links', left click on the second link (direct). It will automatically copy. Then paste that link here in your post and type this at the beginning of the link This will embed the full...
Greg, you really do the cap look well. I could never pull that off. Interestingly, I watched The Valachi Papers just last night and noticed a ton of nice caps in that movie.
Andy
Thank you very much!
Now that I see your Lee from the side, I see one reason why mine looks a bit taller to me. When I did the teardrop, I didn't lower the back at all. I didn't slope it in the traditional manner. I might try that a little one day, just to see if I like it.
Andy
g.durand, Bruno, Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the image. It's one of the few shots of me where I don't have a camera up to my face. When we are out, my wife is usually shooting pictures of me shooting pictures. :-)
Andy
HA! Harv, I was just about to ask if there was a shot of your Flagship. You're right, it is the identical color scheme as mine. Love that ribbon color. Thanks regarding my grandfather's hat.

Been enjoying all the different looks. I figured I'd put a face to the name (scary, I know. LOL). Went out to the woods for a stroll and some photography today. I didn't come away with any shots, but my wife took this one. I wore my grandfather's Morrison Hats Fedora that I posted about in...
Thanks L&M. I really enjoyed shaping it. I never saw that movie so I went and searched for some images and yes, it does indeed look like that hat. Same color, ribbon, high crown and pinches. The only thing is, I'm a brim up kind of guy. I hope I won't be ostracized for that. LOL!
Andy
Javadave,
I know exactly what you mean. I also have my grandfather's old Elgin Railroad Pocket Watch that works well. As great as it is, there's still something a bit more special about the hat. I can still remember him sitting on the front porch wearing a fedora.
Good words David, much...
Feroud, hatophile, hatsRme, Big Man, GregNYC,
Thank you all very much! It certainly was a great closet find. I feel good when I wear it and when it does need work, at least I have a really good local place to take it to (Optimo, Chicago). I wouldn't feel good about shipping it out to anyone...
