Restaurant Hat Issues
I'm with you JT. Restaurants are a tough place for me even without worrying about a hat. I have some OCD issues and wouldn't be able to leave my hat just anywhere. In fact, this thread has caused me to break out into a cold sweat. LOL! Andy -

It's interesting to see all the different looks. As I review this thread, watch old movies and see old family pictures, I realize that some guys look great with the hat cocked to the side (James Stewart) or pushed way up and back (Howard Hughes). I can't pull 'any' of that off. I guess I'm not... -

Thank you very much! Now that I see your Lee from the side, I see one reason why mine looks a bit taller to me. When I did the teardrop, I didn't lower the back at all. I didn't slope it in the traditional manner. I might try that a little one day, just to see if I like it. Andy -

Thanks L&M. I really enjoyed shaping it. I never saw that movie so I went and searched for some images and yes, it does indeed look like that hat. Same color, ribbon, high crown and pinches. The only thing is, I'm a brim up kind of guy. I hope I won't be ostracized for that. LOL! Andy -

Javadave, I know exactly what you mean. I also have my grandfather's old Elgin Railroad Pocket Watch that works well. As great as it is, there's still something a bit more special about the hat. I can still remember him sitting on the front porch wearing a fedora. Good words David, much... -
