I'm really looking forward to "The Loves of Carmen" later on tonight. I don't think they've ever shown it before on TCM.
It was a Russian t-34 mocked up as a tiger for the movie Saving Private Ryan. It was privately bought & then shipped here. The current owners have other German vehicles & artillery that they restore and use for the hobby.
Had a great time this weekend in Harvard, IL at a WWII encampment/public display. There was also a Vietnam exhibit with a traveling Memorial Wall. Between the two set-ups, there were veterans coming through our camp on a constant basis and we got to chat with and mostly listen to their stories...
