I would a hot wash cycle and then drying them at high heat. One word of caution though, when an item of clothing shrinks, the seams usually start to puckers because the thread doesn't always shrink when the fabric does.
A question about proper clothing to wear to a wedding
I know that black is often frowned upon as a color to wear to wedding, but would a black and white print be okay? I'm thinking something similar to this...
EPR - I love your linoleum floor! I've been wanting to do a checkered floor design when we redo our kitchen, but I've been trying to think up ways to jazz it up without making it too difficult. I think I may have to steal your pattern idea, except I want to do it in a minty jadite green color...

This is a toughie. I hate to make anything seem like a popularity contest, but here goes:
1. Leatte - She lives less than an hour from me, we both share similar vintage obessions and we've never met!
2. Quigley - If you're as fun as your photos, then you're a fine gent indeed.
3...
A big thanks to the people who recommended Aubrey Organics shampoos. I purchased the Island Shampoo and Conditioner for frizzy hair from vitacost.com ($7.00 a bottle) and I have never liked a shampoo this much before! I have never had such soft and shiney natural curls before. And it really...
Thanks! Now find a reason to justify purchasing a pair of $95.00 shoes! I do have 2 weddings to go to next month, so if I wear them to both weddings that's like only paying $47.50 twice for the shoes, right?
I know we have plenty of basketball and football fans on the board who have started threads, but who here is a hockey fan? Who do you want to win the cup? Have you been watching any of the play-off games?
I've been watching the Pittsburgh Penguins, and they just keep getting better with...
Who lets their champagne sit in their glass long enough to go flat - flute or saucer shaped? It still takes a while for the bubbles to dissapate from the saucer-shaped glasses. You usually drink it much faster than it can go flat, so I say go ahead and use the shallow glasses. *hick* lol
Can any of you ladies recommend a good shampoo that is organic and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate free? I tried a bunch of the JASON brand shampoos, but they weren't mousturizing enough for my hair. I'm currently using Giovanni brand shampoo, which I loved at first but now my hair is starting to look...
I love it! It reminds me of the rueben dip that I make from a vintage recipe. People are usually horrified by it, but it's delicious once you try it. The dip is made from potted corned beef, swiss cheese, saurkraut, cream cheese and thousand island dressing. I usually serve it with little...
:) Most of the time, I just look around my house and try to incorporate things that I already have. Last Halloween, I put a spider-web printed table cloth on the table and scattered fake autumn leaves on the table. For the centerpiece, I took a large vintage paper mache skull, cut some dead...
I wish I had pictures of the platter I made for a luau-themed party recently. I made sweet and sour meatballs, hollowed out 2 pineapples (added the pineapple meat to the meatballs as they cooked in the crockpot) and used them as serving bowls for the meatballs. I put the pineapple bowls on a...
Most flea markets around here are outdoors and happen during the warmer months. Few are open year round, but many aren't because no one wants to go out when it's snowing, raining or very cold. And if you are a seller, you don't want your wares to get ruined by the incliment weather.
I went to the flea market this weekend and for $5.00 got a black wool 1940s purse with a round lucite handle that you wear around your wrist as a bracelet. It looks to have never been used, there is no wear on it at all.
And the best part is (I didn't realize this until I took it home), is...
Mojave Jack - Yay to you for capturing and releasing the snake instead of hurting or killing him. :eusa_clap
Reptiles and amphibians really are delicate creatures, it's scary how quickly changing climate and encroachment by man can wipe them out.
I don't think the trousers are a wrap style, but more of a button flap front similar to the fall front breeches that men wore in the 18th and early 19th centuries or similar to the trousers in a sailor unniform. That front panel of the slacks is a flap that bottons up on both sides.
