Shrinking cotton gloves

So I bought some grey cotton gloves to wear during the Summer (my preferred aesthetic is plae, plus Celtic skin doesn't take the sun so well. I tan, but it simply looks like I haven't washed for a few days. Yuck.). Anyhow, I went with medium as that's what I normally wear in a glove, but these seem a little large. Was wondering whether there are any suggestions as to how I might shrink them down a bit (ideally so I don't have to remove them to lift out my wallet or whatever). Should I put them through a hot cycle in the washing machine?

I would a hot wash cycle and then drying them at high heat. One word of caution though, when an item of clothing shrinks, the seams usually start to puckers because the thread doesn't always shrink when the fabric does.

Thanks, I'll give that a go. :)

You might try the hot water and no dry to see if they're shrunk to the right size. If not, another hot water wash and into the dryer. Or you may have luck with washing them in hot water and then wearing them while they dry so they shrink up and conform to the size of your hands.

John, I've long avoided the dryer with my jeans. I fibd otherwise they come out feeling too tight and by the time I've stretched them out again, it's time to wash 'em.... bah....
