What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Been sporting this since Memorial Day. It's a re-creased, brim moddified, re-ribboned and re-sweat banded Target find. Getting a few positive comments now and then. dean

    Replacing a 1968 pattern MA1 knits

My experience is that the cuffs are far and away the easiest of the knits to replace. My work has been done entirely by hand. I have not learned how to use a sewing machine, so I work with needle and thread and this means working at comparatively, a snail's pace. In the end, though, it worked...

    The Cap Faction

Dan! LOVE your bergmutze! Repro? Ever get any flack for donning it? I'd love to wear one around, but I got a bit sensitive to those who might be offended. You look great in it! Actually from the angle of the photo, it looks a bit more M-43-ish, due to the visor looking large. Wooden buttons...

    Although it's not vintage...

You're welcome. I was hesitant to make the comparison, since some folk would be sensitive to certain association with 'history' shall we say. If the coat was a shade or two lighter, the similarities are remarkable. dean

    Aero on the 'bay

Thank you, Edward and Peacoat. This is what happens when you leave the radar screen too long. And I have no idea how I'm rated guest! I mean, I know I don't post much anymore, I fedora'd out a while back, but when I get one of Chapman's jackets I'll post pics and so on to beat the band...
