    Stingy brim hats

Wow, that's a broad question! It depends on what your budget is and exactly what you are looking for. If you want the best new hat that money can buy, you should contact Art Fawcett or Optimo hats to have a custom hat made. The Fedora Store offers a semi-custom hat that looks pretty good...

Fedoras in America, caps in the UK?

I can't answer the question specifically, but having lived here in France for a while I get the impression that hat wearing died off much earlier and more definatively here in Europe than in the States.

    Hat Center (UK) quality?

Yes, Classic Fedora in tan. The Christys' hats I got from Hornets are of comparable quality as far as the felt is concerened, but the sweatbands were not carefully installed.

    Hat Center (UK) quality?

My Hat Centre hat arrived to-day. Overall, I think it's a real bargain for the money. Here are my impressions: Negative: Sweatband is top-stitched at the brim-break, not stitched higher up and through the reed as are most American hats. This is my main gripe against European hats. The...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I'm back in Amiens to-day, wearing my VS thin-ribbon. Behind me is "The Belfry": and here I am in front of the world's largest gothic cathedral: back in the olden days (10th century) the entire cathedral would have been painted in lots of vivid colors.

    Post New Hats Here!

Great hat, Barrowjh! I too have been tempted to try one of these very hats, but as I already have two on order from Art, I'll have to wait. I've been dying to see pictures of the Beaver Brand customs and I'm sure a lot of others here have been, too. That factory bash looks just about perfect...

    Hat Center (UK) quality?

Diazawaguy: I've had two Christys' hats from Hornet's. The felt is nice and I liked the style, but the sweat-bands were sewn in well above the brim break, which I find uncomfortable as the stitching rubs my forehead: Also, the ribbons were stitched on rather clumsily. But the hat pictured...
