I've seen Barbours, and they're nice, but definitely not worth the price.
Luckily I found Lewis Creek.
http://www.lewiscreek.com/
Easily the equal of Barbour with respect to fit, finish, appearance, and protection.
I've worn it in downpours and remained bone dry.
The waxed cotton is...
Welcome Keesak.
I have 2 thoughts to pass along.
Instead of the leather hem along the lining bottom, I got brown corduroy.
It looks really beautiful and is much more supple than the leather as others have said.
This is my 3rd year with it and it shows almost no wear.
As for the inner and...
Just buff the area with a soft cloth for a while till the sheen comes back
Or, you can do nothing and wear the hell out of it.
The sheen will come back by itself in time.
No more chemicals.
Just remember, Aero's Horse Hide is meant to be abused in all weather.
The worse it looks, the better it...
OK, fair points both of you.
I'm really not trying to start up a "HD vs all other bikes" thread.
Just trying to understand the HD mind set.
dr.V, I still don't understand your "I'll only ride HD" mentality.
I'm sure you like them, and so do millions of other riders.
But closing yourself off...
Looks like a perfect fit to me.
Now, just out of pure curiosity, doesn't anybody here ride something other than a HD?
Like a Triumph?
All you other riders, speak up.
I don't think the HD guys will bite your head off. :D

I currently own a Vanson Enfield and have owned their Sport Rider CSRX jacket, both in their competition weight leather.
The CSRX is a hard core racing/track jacket which accepts armor.
The Enfield is more casual and does not accept armor.
If you've never seen Vanson's Competition Weight...
Don't bother with the Pecard.
Aero's FQHH doesn't need anything for a long time.
Just wear the hell out of it as often as possible.
Sleep in it, walk in the rain and let it dry while wearing it,
wrestle with the kids or dogs while wearing it, roll around in an alley filled with
bricks and...
Oh well.
I was gonna suggest you look at a Vanson Enfield.
I absolutely love mine.
Quality wise, it's virtually perfect.
It isn't horsehide, but the leather is awesome; thick and graining up nicely.
Looks like the Enfield is a virtual copy of the Schott. (or is it the other way around)

I got 2 words for you: "Vanson Enfield"
I wear it when riding the Speed Triple, and for casual use.
It's the heaviest leather I've ever seen.
It has a perfect retro/modern look to it and is appropriate in all situations.
It's also a perfect fit for my size 40 body.
You can also try the Fox...
Vanson's competition weight cowhide is the thickest leather I've ever seen or worn.
If you actually ride, you'll feel totally confident that it'll protect you in a fall.
It's like wearing a suit of armor.
I think my Enfield could stop a small caliber bullet!
But be forewarned, it'll take years...
Holy Moly!
$3K for a Cashmere jacket.:eeek:
I think that would be money better spent on a couple custom leather jackets, or as Philalethes suggests,
something from Magnoli.
That is, unless, you have very deep pockets and just crave some excess! :D
