Shortly after my sister passed away due to spine cancer :eek: I was sleeping in her room at my parents' house.

After much thinking, I've realized that aesthetic-wise I'm more fond of Victorian than anything else. I still intend to wear 1930s and 1940s suits and collect some accoutrements from that period; however, Victorian furniture and such (or repro furniture of that style) is more interesting to me...
I almost bid on it, but the condition was horrible. The photos show many, many rips, holes, and at least two worn out linings. Normally I don't care too much since I'm on the *ahem* "bohemian" side of vintage collecting, but that one was kinda wrecked.
A gorgeous babe on your arm -- no, actually, on the COUCH -- and a fashion spread in a magazine.

*I second the recommendations of both Bourbon & Branch in San Francisco as well as Huber's in Portland. I've been to both places.
Huber's is worth seeing just for the stained glass in the ceilings -- quite remarkable, unlike anything I've ever seen.
