thanks swinggal - i spent hours looking thru some pics of my family from 70-100 years ago with my mum a couple of months ago, but she wouldn't let me keep any.
i must get onto her, she was going to try and get copies of them.
on picasa there is a an edit you can use that 'makes it look like a b&w photo taken with a colour filter'. i never really noticed it before, but had always wondered why deep red lipstick looks almost black in vintage photos but just light grey in b&w photos i take! i guess now i know :D
i have already had a response to my email to Freddies of Pinewood! top marks for customer service so far! lol
here is my email and the reply:
I am really interested in buying a pair of your ton-up jeans, however you only have a waist measurement. I am between a 32-34 waist would you please...
i have had a look and they look really nice, and i think you're right, they will look nicer being a bit more fitted on the leg.
i have emailed them to ask about sizing, once i have a response i will post here.
i agree with Miss Tuppence, but i too have very curly hair and prefer the smooth roots look. i tend to blowdry then pin curl from there, i find it looks nicer and also it is easier to style - i get perfect pincurls from the 1st set instead of the third!
i love all of these on this page! i think i'm going to buy the trousers patter, i really need some!
plus August in England is not shaping up to my expectations
nah - it's not that Hepkitty! my OH honestly couldn't be more attentive and charming, i just never seem to be able to get in the mood :(
have to say though, since getting into stockings and the like i feel more body confident which helps!
I am very nostalgic for the life that, specifically, my grandparents lived. my grandad was in the RAF and he married my nanny, his sweetheart at age 20. they lived in a council-owned maisonette until the late 80s when my nanny died, then grandad moved.
i think the way i look at it, yes there...
i was on the pill from age 16 for almost 10 years before i came off it specifically to get pregnant. i went on it specifically as birth control and never had any problems with it. once i had my kids (twins) i did start taking the mini pill but i just couldn't remember to take it.
we now use...
here's something i knocked together this evening. with a lot of soft focus, sepia tones, you can barely see the pile of laundry in the background lol !
i quite like it anyway - i used Picasa if anyone is interested.
Swinggal - how would i get the marks and old corners like the photo of...
how so? if it went too red would i not be able to correct it?
bit of a novice here! maybe i'll just use a semi permanent, it would be less messy (or so i'm led to believe!)
