    Reproduction classic workwear

I should have added "in cotton". Here in Houston I'd only be able to wear a wool pullover for two weeks. A company called Arborwear use to make them but it's not in their catalog anymore.

    Public Enemies

We saw it last night and really enjoyed it, my wife even cried a couple of times. And as for Bales "mumbling", there wasn't a single thing he said that I couldn't understand. I've met quite a few folks here in Texas that talk just like that, it didn't bother me.

    Reproduction classic workwear

A couple of weeks ago I bought a brand new Ralph Lauren Dungaree brand work shirt in a slightly off white cotton on Ebay for only $34.99. Only one other bid even came up against me. It has the cat eye buttons in white too.

    Buying from Mr. Freedom/Sugar Cane

Thanks for all the input guys! What I'm looking at are the COTTON COVERT APPLEJACK CAPs. It looks just like what I've been looking for and it's not wool or linen or silk or plaid or tweed or leather or denim, just a simple workers 8 panel in a heavy cotton twill. I'm going to call them today...

I have a Corona Speedline just like that, but I'm having trouble figuring out what ribbon to get for it, and where. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

    Cleaning a Vintage Tie

I've never had a problem with any type of tie. After the soak I gently rinse them in cool water and lay them flat between towels and would place a couple of light books on top to hold it all flat. I've never needed to iron any of the ties.

The Public Enemies Hat Thread should probably be merged with this one since the conversations have drifted away from just hats.

    Cleaning a Vintage Tie

I've cleaned many ties with excellent results using Fels Naptha. It's a bar soap to pre-treat stains that's been made for more than a hundred years. I use it to clean many different items too. Most often I just make a lather and treat the spot, but I've also grated it and let things soak...

    Humour about tragedy.

Here's a timely example. Yesterday a friend of a friend posted on Facebook this entry: "Michael Jackson died today......lol." I'm not a Michael Jackson fan but that just seems over the line.
