Snapping a Straw Brim
Just got a new Stetson Retro Panama and I want to put a little more snap in the front of the brim. What's the best way to do that with straw? I'll post some pics in the new hat thread when I have it the way that I want it. -

What does your hat color say? What does it go with?
I've completely gotten off black. It looks too formal with just about anything. I've replaced all my blacks with grays. Gray is much more versatile. -
Too soon for straw?
If the weather is warm enough, go for it . . . Although, the owner of a vintage clothing store in Nashville told me today that she would not put her straw hats on display until Easter. I was obviously willing to buy today if she would let me see them, but she refused. Can you belive that? -

My Stylemasters finally arrived
Wholehearted agreement from me. FL has far better info on Akubras than the company offers. I don't think they've learned the art of photography yet. The colors are off. They take pics at funky angles, so you don't get a good view of the hat . . . But, hey, they do the hats right. I'd rather... -
