Nice rework on that Pinnacle gtd. I like the binding color and think that type treatment enhances the Pinnacle.

My favorite is a thin ribbon but ...hell... I do own a wide ribbon or two. :D

Nice ones guys! Here's a nice light weight hat I picked up. Haven't been able to measure yet, but it's about a 6 inch crown with 2 3/8 brim. Was scrunched up when I got it with some dents and creases but those'll come out with a little steam or better yet rain. I think this one's a '40s.

[its a Peters Brothers milan Indy with a diamond crease]
Wow, Rusty, I didn't see one of those at Peter Bros. last week. Looks like another trip to Ft. Worth is coming up. Great Milan!

UWSC, I think you have a very nice hat in that Chapeau Moderne Royal Beaver Twenty. I'm looking forward to seeing it after you clean it up. Stay away from the scissors. Please. ;) :)

Stetson Retro Panama

Got home from the office early and found a nice suprise on the doorstep: the Stetson Retro Panama I ordered from Delmonico Hatters last Friday.

It's presently 75 degrees in Nashville, so I wore it out on some quick errands. It's just about straw hat time in Tennessee.

To make the surprise even better, another box contained the Cole Haan oxfords I got on eBay for $18 (with shipping), but that's another thread.

Looks nice GM!
Be careful with the pinch, mine split after about 2 weeks of wearing.
I did not think I pinched it too tight but maybe I did.
You might want to reinforce it with some cloth surgical tape. That will give it a little more strength at the pinch [place it inside all along the front pinch, about mid-way of the center dents]

Borsalino Lords Hat from Bulgaria

I just pulled it out of the box moments ago. Beautiful felt!! Still unshaped and the bow and ribbon seems just tacked oddly in place and unfinished. I haven't decided whether to shape it as a standard Homburg or add the front pinch. It's also the largest Borsalino 5-1/2 I've encountered, its bigger than my Como Size 6/59 cm from the 90's.

How about some different angles while on you head? I've been debating one, but I'm not convinced by the stock photos I've seen.

Miller Hats teardrop milan

Two days, two hats. And should have my Fed IV by Saturday. That's a pretty good week.

Got home to find my milan straw from Miller Hats came in. Some other folks on FL recommended these. I like the look.

Question: how are these milan straw hats for durability? How many years can you get out of them?

Fantastic condition except for the crease in the ribbon on the front. I managed to improve it but can't seem to make it go away. Any sure-fire methods to suggest?

Dip you finger in cold water, and dab it over the spot. When it dries, the ribbon should flatten out beautifully.

Here's another tip: If you will put only one picture on each line of your post, it won't spread out wider than the page. Great looking hat, by the way! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
