    The straight sided dome is the one to use if you don't want any taper.

    I have used the hat shapers and would recommend going down in the size. If not you run the risk of stretching the sweat band and even distorting the brim. regards Kirk

    That brings back memories. I remember seeing adds in the gun mags for Proline back in the day. Yeah I remember trying to find off-duty leather for the 4046. Our detectives were issued Don Hume pancake holsters so we were able to get those.

    The 3rd Gens were some solid workhorses. When my agency switched from the revolver to a semi auto in 1991 we were issued the 4046. We carried that until 2005. Mine resides in the safe at home and when I take it out its like shaking hands with an old friend.

    Picked this up this past weekend. A pre 1921 M&P 38 Special. 6 digit serial number that starts with 2. In looking at several serial number data bases it puts as being manufactured sometime between 1915 and 1919. Bluing is about 90-95 %. Giving a good cleaning. Original grips with one small knick...

    I picked this book up about a year ago, a lot of good information on the K frame and it does have a section that talks about the grip adapter that Robert posted.
