    Wax Seals

Unfortunately this is because of modern automatic sortation. Seals look good, but they may not survive the rigours of being sorted and stacked against other envelopes at 30,000+ items per hour. Its impressive to watch, but I would never put a letter with a wax seal in the post due to the...

Bolo Ties-- Acceptable Alternative or Novelty Oddity?

    Horizontal buttonholes on mens shirts

All, Probably a whimsical question, but here goes. I was at my tailor the other day having some vintage casual shirts copied. The buttonholes on these shirts are all in the horizontal. All the modern shirts I see have vertical buttonholes (with the exception of the bottom buttonhole on...

Why do I hate the 1970s so much?

Didn't he draw the picture of the young lady getting on the bus, and I wont reproduce it here, 'you're such a creep ant nee"...." come on loretta.........." To this day, when anyone gets out of line, my buddies say, 'your such a creep ant nee'

    So through with COOL!

This is probably an Aussie thing.... When I was a lot younger, before cool we had 'grouse'. 'Those shoes look grouse!' 'We're having a grouse time!' I have no idea where it came from. Its probably a pretty bogan thing to say these days, but its ok if you are drinking woodstock bourbon...

Why do I hate the 1970s so much?

Don't even get me started on the stuff at the army disposal - incredible. The days you could walk into a store and there would be no blister packs... You could still find a good 1940's style cafe... You could still see Comando Cody, Hop Harrigan and Sky King on TV. Working black...

Why do I hate the 1970s so much?

^^^^^ absolutely.:eusa_clap Looking back, one of the bad things about the 70's for me was all the regrets I have about the stuff I didn't pick up that is now rare and completely astronomical, sigh....

Why do I hate the 1970s so much?

What do I hate about the 70's? A lot of material stuff I like was being discarded by folks as being out of style and passe'. Things I really like were affordable and could be appreciated by those that loved them. You could buy a running registered 49 Ford for $500 You could score great...

Good idea - that's a book I'd buy and enjoy. Perhaps you should get a trailer to match and relive 'The Long Long Trailer'. Talbot
