Thanks Alan! I'm about an hour from the Ikea in College Park. I was on Ikea's website but wasn't sure which hanger you specifically liked there.
I'll check out Walgreens as well as Target and Walmart too.
The eBay one that Brian provided looks pretty good too, though it's not wood...
Thanks Brian!! That hanger looks great (I like the length and wideness) and is a great price too! I may go ahead and purchase that one... thank you so much!! :)
Nice to meet you, Alan. Thanks for the feedback. I don't have an Ikea close by but I do have a "Bed Bath & Beyond" down the street from where I work... I'll check out that place first. :)
Welcome to the site, Jaffa! You should post up pictures of your new jacket.
Sorry I can't answer your question about the Avirex pricing... I'm not familiar with those jackets. :)
So I spoke to the folks at Hillside USA... not sure how familiar you all are with them but they're based out of Brooklyn, NY and apparently used to make the horsehide leather jackets for other vendors who would apply their own label to the jackets.
I plan on purchasing their "basic horsehide...
Thank you so much, Griff. I would seriously love to try your carbon bow. Does the bow have a "carbon fiber look" to it with the 2x2 diagonal twill weave or even a 1x1 checkerboard style weave?
Keep hinting your idea to Amanda... who knows, maybe they will at least make you one so you can...
Very interesting info, Griff... thanks for sharing it! :)
Off topic... but my "carbon fiber car/heart story" just got featured on a carbon fiber website that you're welcome to check out (since you mentioned you like carbon fiber too)... let me know what you think...
Thank you so much, Seb! Which jacket were you referring to in your last sentence... my Irvin Foster or the Aero jacket?
I appreciate the good info you provided about goat and kangaroo leather. What are some good brands for kangaroo leather jackets?
Thanks Henk! Just responded to your PM... will definitely check out this guy's work. I don't have a need at this point for a wallet or belt only because both my wallet and belt are made of carbon fiber (the material that my mechanical heart components are made out of).
Yeah, my closet where...
Thanks Jan! I do need to find a good hanger. I'm definitely not using a wire hanger for any of my jackets including the aero. I'm using a wooden hanger... I'll snap a pic later and post it here... maybe you can tell me if that hanger I'm using is ok or not.
Sorry... was your comment in reference to me? If so then your comment is a bit unnecessary and a bit rude.
On other forums I belong to, there is a multiquote feature that allows you to multiquote and reply all in one post. Unfortunately this site doesn't have that feature.
Besides...
Thank you so much, Lear. Yes, my friend... the journey has been extremely exciting for me. I was pretty nervous that the jacket might not fit me especially with all the special measurements I had to send them due to my herniated tummy bulge, but man... Aero nailed it on the dot and it's...
Thank you so much for the kind words! :)
Thanks for the valuable info you provided. Do you have any pictures you can post of your jacket with the brass black rivets on them? I'd love to see how that looks. Were the original grommets easy to remove with the needle nose pliers? My main...
