My Vanson Enfield Finally Came Today

Fantastic jacket, Peacoat! If I ever order a Vanson, the Enfield is definitely the one I want to get. What hide is your Vanson? Heavy cowhide or horsehide? LOL... I'm using the exact same method as you to break in my FQHH Aero jacket... I just keep wearing it... mostly indoors but I did...

Another New Highwayman – incorporating many of your suggestions

Sorry... based on your earlier post I wasn't clear on what you already or don't already know, Seb. Bi-swing is a great option for allowing for added motion and comfort, especially when wearing the jacket and having to stretch your arms out for like driving a car or something. Also, if you...

Another New Highwayman – incorporating many of your suggestions

Beautiful jacket!! Looks great on you. :) Bi-swing back isn't that unusual. There are quite a number of folks on here who got the bi-swing back and I was going to get the exact bi-swing that OneStar has (shoulder bi-swing) but it's not possible on the Aero NYPD because of the stitched...

Another Vanson Enfield in the House

Lenny, are you by chance related to my wife because she said the same thing to me after she found out I wore it (though for a short time) in the crazy heat. lol :D Great idea about the double zipper... I usually find with my longer jackets I have to lift them up high enough that I can sit...

    Wallets

Fascia basically encloses the muscles. When you have a true separation or tear of the fascia this results in what is known as a hernia. In my case my abdominal fascia is very weak so I'm prone to getting abdominal hernias which is why ultimately I went with Aero for my jacket so they could...

^^^ lol What is the time difference between Scotland and USA Eastern Standard Time? I need to call them soon to thank them for my Aero NYPD jacket.

Survived a near-death experience with my Aero jacket by my side...

Good morning! Almost missed seeing your post here since I was composing my last post around the same time you sent yours. High heel shoes subject to PA sales tax??? That doesn't sound right... I wonder how PA defines "high heel" because I know my wife, being from Pittsburgh originally, has...

Thanks buddy! I missed you and the other FL guys here too... one big leather-clad family we all are. :D Sorry to hear you've been in my situation before. Haha... yes it makes a HUGE difference with lack of air in my tires or any tires for that matter. :D

    Pea Coat Measurement Questions

^^^ Excellent info you provided, Peacoat! I particularly enjoyed reading how you want the seller to give you the chest measurement. I'm a little confused as to why 2 is the number that when subtracting gives you the inside measurement, but since it works I'll definitely adopt your method here. :)

Another Vanson Enfield in the House

Congrats Lenny! What color is your new Enfield jacket? How long does the Vanson Open House discount go until? I fell in love with that jacket when a member here posted one in an orange-like color (I forget the exact color name and the member who posted it but I recall he wound up selling...

    Wallets

Very nice, Jan! Actually, Henk ("Hankh") posted up some of Scott's work I believe about a week or two back (his belts) and Henk messaged me a link to some of Scott's good work... http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=168954

    Final order of the CafeRacer

Thanks for the very informative post about garbadine! One thing that stood out for me is how it's a form of twill weave. Carbon fiber, the material inside my heart keeping me alive, can be made of a twill weave as well... basically with the twill weave it has a diagonal weave to it. :)

    Final order of the CafeRacer

Sorry I forgot the 3rd one. :D Yeah, Moira definitely does some amazing work. I'm confident your 3rd jacket will be just as amazing-looking as your other two. :) One question... what type of material is garbadine? I had never heard of this material until I joined this site. Does it...

Survived a near-death experience with my Aero jacket by my side...

Here is a thought I'll leave you all... because of you all I have learned how the patina in our leather jackets help build character of the jacket but also tell the "story" of the jacket... each scratch, wear mark, etc. all happened due to normal wear and tear. Another way our jackets tell...

Survived a near-death experience with my Aero jacket by my side...

Thanks Lenny! Yeah, it was pretty scary... with Father's Day only a couple of days away I was scared that I wouldn't see my family, plus it would be the first Father's Day for my infant daughter. However I see this now as a blessing. Can you imagine if this had happened at some point later...
