I'll definitely be letting Aero fix it, but I was just curious what would be involved. I hate the thought of another 3 months wait and/or a hefty fee because I've worn it and it can't be sold as new. majormajor, I'll drive down yet again, and at least now know where to check for speed cameras...
I got my Stockman about 3 weeks ago and loved it right away. However, I noticed that there seemed to be more air around my hands than on my HWM and Teamster, but didn't think to check the sleeve length as I compromised my posture and it seemed bearable. Tonight I've finally checked the sleeve...
There you go. I actually shook Julie's hand a couple of weeks ago just before she made my Stockman, after Ken decided that she'd be the one to make it. What I like about Aero is that there's a real personal touch that you very rarely get nowadays.
Anyway, good luck to Julie in her promotion...
The Stockman I got a couple of weeks ago had a 5 or 6" strip. I'd asked for a strip anyway, expecting the 2" one I'd had previously, but Ken said it should have been much bigger and I was happy to go with his suggestion (especially as I now know he designed the jacket in the first place).
Very fair play, Holly. People were expecting the rises, so you could easily have gone ahead with them, but you've chosen to pass the savings on. That's not the sort of behaviour we expect from Corporate UK, so good for you for bucking the trend.
If only Tesco, BP, and the corner sweetie...
Looking at the not infrequent Insurrection posts, they seem to be upping their Aero presence quite substantially. So, what with the apparent dropping of the Iron Heart link, this could be the start of the new management strategy.
I'm still waiting to see the 1st October price rises, so am...
Kudos to Ken for all those great designs. I didn't realise they were all his.
I met him a few weeks ago and it was a real pleasure. Good luck to you all going forward anyway.
As to size, my advice would be to ask Aero what the standard dimensions of the jackets and possible sizes you're interested in are, then take it from there. I don't believe Aero make literally made-to-measure, they simply adapt existing patterns to most closely match what you want. I believe...
I think they just cut out a rectangle from the leather flap, add a small leather backing patch, a zip and pocket. Just checked my Stockman and it's very simple and neat looking.
Fair enough. Today I emailed direct to amanda@aeroleatherclothing.com and got the out of office.
Wouldn't surprise me if most people here had that in their contact list and didn't bother with the webform other than for the first ever contact.
Aero normally respond within hours or even minutes. They're on holiday this week and have an out of office response.
As to their sale items, they're usually uncollected orders, orders returned unworn or prototypes - in other words new, but priced for a quick sale.
Have you been in touch recently for an update? Aero are on holiday this week, so you'll need to wait another week to contact them, but 4 months is a bit steep.
I think their website now says they give you a definite delivery date with new orders, so it'll be interesting to see what the...
Very interesting. My 40" Teamster is also 22" across the chest, but my 40" HWM is only 20". The back of the HWM is 20.5" at the widest seam, but the Teamster is 20". The side panels on both obviously add to the overall chest width, but your Teamster is very different in the back design, so not...
Just noticed this comment. Is the chest size the same as your HWM?
Reason I ask is that my 40" HWM and Teamster both have 19" shoulders seam to seam. My 40" Stockman would have had 19.5" shoulders, which I felt was a smidge too much, so I went down to the 38" which had the same 19"...
Thanks to all, guys.
Nick, I thought that too until I went to the factory and saw the cordovan in the flesh. I really like the subtlety of the purple/red and how the appearance changes depending on the light.
Butte, I don't actually know. My chosen one hadn't been ordered, so my 3 month...
Hi guys, my Stockman finally landed - Cordovan FQHH, 38" chest, 30" back length, 1 zipped vertical inner pocket (G1?), 1 studded vertical internal pocket, 5" cord strip. I had ordered a 40" 3 months ago, but was always a bit dubious about it, as the sizing was a little bigger than my 40"...
