I'd never heard of Jenney before. I got all Googly and found it's a New England brand, started in Boston by a guy named Stephen Jenny selling coal, kerosene and whale oil. Looks like he did alright for himself.

I suppose in a perfect world that it would all work as smoothly as it does in the computer model, but my observation is that between indecision, incompetence and a few folks who are just posterior orifices it doesn't really work that well.

^^^ We had a few of these around years ago. The last one that I know of closed 3 or 4 years ago. The company is still in business, but apparently small towns aren't in their business plan anymore.

Mine too. I think it's human nature. Rickey was an important influence in at least 3 regions during his career, but we all tend to see our own local history as most important.
Not in this part of the world. The mention of his name here is permanently linked to St. Louis. I doubt anybody in Cardinal Nation outside of a few hardcores would link him to anywhere else.
