Do's and Don'ts of shaping a "cowboy" hat
If it is a newer Stetson they can be difficult to reshape because they have so much shellac in the felt. I tried to reshape a newer Stetson Open Road and it didn't work out very well. I could never get rid of the remnants of the old crease. If it is an older Stetson made in the mid 60's or... -

The Other Open Roads.....
Rick, very cool hat! The ribbon does have an Open Road look to it but the brim looks a little wide for an Open Road clone. I have a feeling that hat was made before Stetson started naming hats Open Road. Great hat! -

His repro's are very good. I have both the DC-3 and 4 engine pin from him. They are very well made. David & Lefty, thanks for the info about the pins. I knew Stetson erroneously put the DC-3 pin on the Stratoliner but I never knew there were vintage 4 engine pins. I just assumed any 4 engine...- Landman
