Thank you!! I like the old style bump toe as well. I tried the standard toe, unstructured to get the collapsed flat toe look but it didn't work for my feet. Even being made to my measurements it was not comfortable. Wesco is great with customer service they made it all right.
These were...
Seeing some of the post pertaining to engineer boots not being comfortable for walking here. I must say everyone is different, but for me, I had my Wesco boots custom made to my measurements for my feet. It's was a $99 up charge and worth every penny. I've got 3E width feet. Nothing ever fits...
Yes I do have perforated leather for riding .this is more for a jacket off bike in the colder months here and during travel since I don't own a real jacket for off bike usage .
Wow. Thank you for your input I wasn't aware of that. Back in the day in NYC I always wore Peacoat or Full length dress coats. Also of wool construction
I usually am in California in winter and the temperature will drop quite a bit at night around L.A. at least .Here in Florida when it dips...
I'm almost ready to by my Schott jacket .I've wanted one for years. I'm going to have it custom made as off the rack never fits me right . I have a large chest and wide shoulders and a narrow waist. Depending on my weight it's anywhere from a 12" to 14" drop from chest to waist for me. I'm also...
Thank you! That's what I was wondering. I called the Mr. Freedom store yesterday and they were very helpful.
The measurements of the bottom of the soles at least are near exact to my other engineer boots I own. So I'm going to roll the dice on a pair of Road Champs. Life is too short not to!
Do Mr. Freedom engineer boots fit to size or slightly wide? I've seen a few people say they run larger or wider than their D width destination would suggest.
I'd love a pair but I'm a EE for width in most footwear. If they aren't likely to fit I'll go for some Role Club custom boots and wait...
Sounds amazing! My Wesco boots were made to measure but were still quite snug when new. Now after a month or so they feel like big heavy slippers.
The bottoms of my feet sometimes hurt at the end of the day, but I think that's from my being overweight and not the boots themselves.
Is that...
They're just over a month old. They were indeed put through the ringer. I was the only one with dry feet at the end of the day. Such a mess but we got lucky here compared to so many others.
These are my Wesco boss boots. Built on the the old style 9109 "Bump Toe" Last
I did re-ink the soles earlier. This is them after Hurricane cleanup and being muddy and wet for days. Gave them a good cleaning and some Lexol conditioner and then Wesco sealer for moisture. I wear them every day...
Those look great. My brother had some Frye engineer boots and they aged well. For the money they are great boots.
I'm a EE or EEE width foot. So I had to go custom. Wesco made my boots. That being said I have some Chipewwa engineer boots that were $200 new. They just about fit me. They are also...
My mother was born in 1942, so she too was a teenager in the mid to late 1950's. Hearing her talk about it all always fascinated me as a boy. I've always felt I was born in the wrong time. I wish she were still alive so I could ask her so much more. Amongst other things.
