Fellow on the right has the older 1889ish hat. He is also wearing the earlier pattern US mills belt and gear. It looks like a staged shot contrasting the old and new look of the Infantry. -

Ike jackets came about during WW2....around late 43. Maybe early 44. Marines got them in Australian and New Zealand also. Ike actually wanted it issued for field use as part of the combat uniform underneath the M43 field jacket. I don't think it was popular for that...I have never seen a... -

Pre 27 Smith S&W 625 Mountain gun....Hamilton Bowen cut it for moonclips so both .45 acp and .45 Colt run perfectly. Colt New Service in .44-40- fireman
