Hello,
I have an excellent condition WPG (What Price Glory) made British "bush jacket" for sale. This is the version that has no belt on it. Sometimes these are referred to as bush shirt also.
The jacket is at least ten years old but has not seen much use. I have not worn it except to try...
Looks like the movie was made in 1931. I would say that was a safari!

"An African crewman fell into a river and was eaten by a crocodile. Another was killed by a charging rhino (which was captured on film and used in the movie)."
Coon Creek also makes some nice stuff for a reasonable price. They probably can do the larger sizes...lotta big cowboy action shooters.
I think that Wild West Merchantile sells a pretty nice wool campaign shirt. About $80 IIRC.
The pants would be khaki if in the Philippines. That is what they look like to me. Repros are available. The neck scarf is interesting. Roosevelt's Rough Riders wore a blue polka dot scarf but I don't think it was exactly like that.
I am no expert but I am willing to bet a lot of Brit hillwalkers carried something like this.

I bet a lot of them were surplused off or just went home after WW2.
I know I'm necro posting here but how is the fit on these? I'm 6'2" and kinda long in the body...I usually need a tall or long. Stuff I get from WPG has to be the long size. Boyt's does not offer a long size. Do these run long or are they the typical US sizing?
Thanks!!
Not exactly Safari but vintage explorer and very cool.
More pretty interesting vehicles can be found here. Great vintage African vehicles.
