    Officers before WW2 had a wide degree of latitude on uniforms.....like all armies at the time. They bought their own and they had to have them made to the pattern but there was still some degree of individuality. That certainly could have been made custom by Stetson or modded by them. Also...

    Great post Johhny! Thanks!! I have the IMA P1871 in Khaki. It is a good basic pith but on my 7-1/2 or so size noggin, it is tight. I have the head band as loose as possible and it fits ok but the metal studs that the liner attaches to hit my head and can get uncomfortable.
