Ask a question, get an answer

I talked to my mother about 5th Ave. Apparently I went there, when I was very young. Hehe. She knows about it, she lived in Manhattan in her youth.

    Boater faction!

Thinking about public buying, I wouldn't think a place where public viewing is EVEN NOT allowed would even DARE to sell any. I think we already have the upper-hand of being able to see a pictures of this collection thanks to mayserwegener.

Uhhhh I got a question here. Why are majority of the hat manufacturers are situated in Fifth avenue New York? Saks, Dobbs, Pedigree, Lee NY and etc. Was it a hat manufacturing street or something?

    Boater faction!

A restoration project won. On ebay I have been searching for a reasonable boater, to my delight finding all sorts of interesting variations, Harvard University Reunion boater, Princeton University Boater with 'Beat Yale & 'Beat harvard' badges on the side, fluttering battered boaters that went...

    Review: Olney Boater

Mmmmm, sounds nice. Well England's got a few more makers. Its just that Olney dominates the regime and is the cheapest and best in my opinion. We've got Lock & Co. on St James Street, 125 pounder Classic boater and Gamble & Gunn, 60~70 pounder depending on ribbon.

    Review: Olney Boater

For Christmas, I bought my mother a boater. Here in NZ, Christmas is in the summer time. (I miss the snow in Korea......) So, I went and bought it from 'The Hat Place' via Ebay in Chester, England. They had the cheapest price and the shipping was very reasonable. As a frequent buyer/user of...

    Looking for a hat

Well, its a contagious disease going through the household, after the purchase of my first straw boater, my mother wanted one. SO I bought her an Olney SM6 and now Pops (dad) wants one as well. Mother thinks boater wouldn't suit him, which I agree as well. My Pops is a formal man and works in...

A new acquisition to the collection is a vintage 1950s Stetson Medalist. The sweatband is in prefect condition. The name Lanburgh's is printed in gold. Presumably the owner wore it once in a while. I might ask the seller for more detail. Enjoyed it all day. Brim on one side is lifted than the...

    Post New Hats Here!

After a session of searching boaters, my mother approached me, if she could have one as well? I was so happy that, I even bought her one with my own money...... (My late mother's day present, I gave her roses but guess the hat should fill it up) I bought her a Olney Headwear Co. Black Band...

    Bringing back the boater+Introduction

Hello, I don't think I did a formal introduction when I joined so here is a short background about myself. I am a 13 year old Korean studying in New Zealand (marking my 5th year this year), at St Andrew's College. I really respect the past and I am a fan of morse code, music and hats. It...
