BTW, a word of useful advice when perusing evilbay - the 1940s British and US military raincoats are cut seriously oversize, as they were designed for wear over not just tunic but a greatcoat if need be. This means they will usually fit from one to two sizes bigger...
I've always believed the "G8-M440" to be an Averix design. Certainly I first came across it in the mid-80s in their catalogue, where they spouted a load of bull about it being a pre-war USN jacket. Most of the G8s I've come across have been Averix ones. I believe the other makers simply copied...

you shouldn't need to "go advanced" or use the "attachments" icon. At head of the basic "quick reply" box is a toolbar. 3rd from right (6th on the Advanced box) is an icon which if you hover over it says "insert image". Click on that and a dialog box will come up which allows you to upload...
