Next? I think this is a pleasant departure from the normal "Is mine too big/too long?" discussion. Surprisingly, most folks here like 'em on the smaller side! ;-)
The ebay listing has expired. I clicked on the "see other items" link for current sales. I also checked out the real website, and I was not impressed. The quality seemed at or less than what you'd expect for a $200 retail jacket. PASS.
Thanks for the pictures posted by others! Any chance we could get some action shots? This looks like a serious contender for the Aero long half-belt I've been dreaming of.
FYI:
The brown version is already sold out in most sizes... And it's not on clearance yet (although they are offering 20% off until 1/9/12). I'm saving my clam shells for bigger and better things.
I've been in this forum long enough to know a good number of guys are thinking, "This isn't Aero Quality(tm)," but for ONE TENTH THE PRICE, it's something to be considered if it fits in your budget.
It also looks like they're trying to clear out their imported jackets and replacing them...
I guess what I like about it is that it's made with vintage leather, but it's not a vintage jacket (i.e. no worries of BO or other odd scents), and it's RETURNABLE. The number one reason I'm waiting on a custom jacket is cost. Number two is that I'll be stuck with what I get. The fact that it...
fortworthgal, what a great collection of whiteware! I'm in the process of building a new home with lots of vintage details, including a "china pantry."
I also *just* found the silverware I've been longing for online. The only problem is the cost! It's called La Maison by Ginkgo...
I've been working on my list, too! My problem is I can never quite get my budget lined up with a reasonable time to order a jacket. I'd love for it to arrive in the fall, but I always find something better to do with my cash when summer rolls around.
And most of the jackets on my wish list...
Raw Leather
I have a bag I bought in Poland about 6 years ago. It was natural leather, and, untreated, it's turned an awesome golden-tan color with a great patina. Wouldn't a raw leather jacket do the same?
My Duluth Trading Co. knock-off/original AWOL bag from Ebay arrived with lightening speed. I must say I'm pleased, but I do agree with previous posts... A brass zipper and absent brand marking would make this bag PERFECT! (However, for the price, it certainly can't be beat!)
I've already...
The Germans are known for a lot of great things (like the engineering in my Tiguan), but since when has story-telling become one of them? The rest of us are going to have a hard time competing! Thanks for the great posts!
