*Outdoor pics* New Highwayman arrived today!

Great jacket! The only thing that worries me is your crisp white shirt underneath. Has anyone had a problem with color transfer? It seems I just saw pictures of a new Aero with a warning tag about "1920 tanning" (or something) and color transfer.

Too warm for an A-2 jacket

Great outfit! The weather here has been unusually warm this spring. We haven't had A2 weather for a while!

    Volcanic ash rant...

No to try to top your sad scarf story, but I was stuck in Rome for three additional days because of the volcano. Talk about messing up your life! Luckily, I your scarf and suit have all made it to our final destinations!:eusa_clap

    The Levi's vintage 1967 experience

Sierra, I particularly like your suede shoes with the outfit. You pull off the combo with a certain European flair that I don't think I could muster here in the American Midwest (at least not in my small town). Unfortunately, most people would just think "Canadian Tuxedo":

    Limoncello

Where'd you get yours from? Maybe it's not any good! I just got back from Italy, and I loved the limoncello there... Not to sweet, not too bitter... And served icy cold. They served it in a glass that was smaller than a shot glass. It's meant to be sipped, not gulped like a shot.

    Of mouton collars...

Not to detract from the mouton-lovers here, but I think you have to be careful, depending on where you live. In my conservative, little Midwestern city, a large mouton collar would come across as affected. With that said, I'm glad Jan posted some pictures... He does a great job with his...

New Highwayman too short. Help me correct this.

My first thought was that your pants were too low... Just kidding! Now that I've gotten that out of my system, I agree with you 100%, Griff. Regardless of whose fault the bad fit is, for what you paid, they should make it right (and I don't doubt they will!). Good luck, and thanks for...

How to I/D your vintage bag & luggage...?

Hey! Looks great! Where did you get your letter stencils from, or did you make them yourself? Is this a specific font, or just something that looks vintage?

PADDY: I just found your other post. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to do that myself!

    overnight bag

That bag is gorgeous! I'll have to check them out. I particularly like the vintage-looking monogram! Did they do that for you? Also, this just in from J. Crew: Wexler & Co. Type II duffle bag $1,500.00 "With the motto "the best is good enough," Manhattan-based Wexler &...

    Cockpit USA A-2 - After Break-In

And that's saying something, for you! I like the trim fit... Not too blousy. Remind me again, is this HH or goat?

    For your consideration:

The Colonel Littleton No. 4 Trail Jacket, $550 http://www.colonellittleton.com/index.php?p=products&f=prod&cat=96&id=cltj It's not horsehide (in fact, it's "washed sheepskin"), and for that reason looks lightweight and comfortable. As a reproduction, what are your...

Seeking the Perfect Leather Book Cover

I'll let you do the math... My Gfeller Casemakers custom cover JUST arrived today. Actually, the guy who makes them had some medical issues come up, and so he was out of commission for a while. He's back in business (is that literally?). The cover is made from "raw," waxy...

Aviator Jacket and 1st Post Greetings

I'm with the others: Either save your pennies for an Aero (or something similar), or keep your eye out for something vintage.
